Users can meet people, send text messages, voice messages, and photos, and interact through real-time video. Yidui recommends the most suitable live channels to new users and provides a search feature to help them quickly find people they like. Initially, Yidui used ES and MySQL for its recommendation and search services. However, as its business and data volume grew and the architecture evolved, Yidui needed a more powerful platform for data collection, processing, and analytics. Scattered data sources
The customer used different compute and storage engines, including databases, big data platforms, and third-party services. This data required unified planning and management to prevent data silos and improve development and management efficiency.
Rapid business growth
As the business and user base grew, the increasing number of live channel matchmaking activities led to a rapid increase in system complexity and log volume. Queries on the self-managed ES platform became very slow under high traffic. When system problems occurred, troubleshooting was inefficient, making it difficult to consistently guarantee a good user experience.
Lack of data analytics capabilities
Yidui has always relied on data to drive product operations. Its needs evolved from initial statistical reports to areas such as algorithm-based recommendations, risk control, interactive queries for operations, and user behavior analysis. However, its corresponding data capabilities were insufficient.

Unified log collection
Web frontend logs: Collected and sent to Simple Log Service using the web tracking feature.
App frontend logs: Collected and sent to Simple Log Service using the Simple Log Service software development kits (SDKs) for iOS and Android.
Server-side logs: Collected and sent to Simple Log Service using Logtail.
Unified intelligent O&M platform
The customer built a unified intelligent O&M platform using Simple Log Service. By collecting access logs from all application systems, servers, databases, and network security products, Yidui created a platform for rapid anomaly analysis and response. This platform uses the second-level query, LogReduce, AI-powered anomaly detection, and multiple alerting features of Simple Log Service to ensure system stability. The intelligent O&M platform also helps improve the user experience. It provides a data foundation for continuous improvement by offering multidimensional metric analysis and graphical displays.
Unified data service
The solution provides a unified data analytics service based on data collected by Simple Log Service. This service is integrated with offline computing, a real-time computing engine, and the PAI machine learning platform.
