Pay-by-feature billing

SLS uses pay-as-you-go billing by default. You pay after use, charged at the granularity of individual features and resources for fine-grained cost control.

Feature	Description
Billing description	Pay-as-you-go is a post-paid method. You are charged based on actual usage. A bill is generated each billing cycle, and fees are deducted from your account.
Scenarios	Ideal for: Variable usage patterns. Temporary and bursty workloads. Fine-grained and flexible resource control.
Billable items	All SLS billable items support pay-by-feature billing. Billable items for the pay-by-feature mode.
Billing cycle	SLS bills daily. Usage for the current day is settled at 00:00 the next day, deducted from your account balance, and a bill is generated. Note If your available credit (account balance and coupons) is less than the outstanding bill, you receive a text message or email notification.
Free quota	SLS provides a free quota for select billable items in pay-by-feature mode. Important The free quota resets monthly. Usage within the quota is free; excess usage is billed. Storage space - Log storage: 500 MB/month. Index traffic - Log indexing: 500 MB/month. Read/write traffic: 500 MB/month. Read/write operations: 1 million/month. Active shard lease: 31 shard-days/month Why are active shard lease fees generated?
