• If you purchase both a resource plan and pre-paid QPS, fees are deducted in the following order:

  Pre-paid QPS > single-category resource plan > general-purpose resource plan > pay-as-you-go

• Your purchase takes effect within 24 hours of payment.

• To use any capabilities of the Vision Intelligence Platform, you must first activate the service. Activating the service is free.

  • For the pay-as-you-go model, you can use the service immediately after activation. Billing starts upon use.

  • For resource plan and pre-paid QPS models, you must both activate the service and purchase a package to use the capabilities. You cannot use the capabilities of a purchased package until you activate the service.

Pay-as-you-go

Billing rules

You are billed monthly based on the number of calls per pricing tier. As a postpaid service, charges are applied after usage.

Billing examples

• Example 1:

  Suppose you make 15,000 calls to the license plate recognition feature in January. The total cost is calculated as follows: (10,000 calls × CNY 0.15/call) + (5,000 calls × CNY 0.10/call) = CNY 2,000.

• Example 2:

  For features such as video understanding, video production, and video segmentation, you are billed based on the duration of the processed video.

  For example, if you use the comprehensive video enhancement feature to output a 2-minute, 20-second video with a 60 fps frame rate and 1080p resolution, the total cost is: (2 minutes × CNY 16/minute) + ((20/60) minutes × CNY 16/minute) = CNY 37.3.

Prepaid resource packages

Billing rules

You can purchase prepaid resource packages for different features in advance. When fees are calculated, usage is deducted from your resource packages first.

• Validity: A resource package is valid for 1 year. You can purchase and stack multiple packages. After each use, resource points are deducted based on the deduction factor.

• Alerts: When the remaining points in a resource package drop to 20%, the system sends an alert via SMS.

• Package exhaustion or expiration: If a resource package is depleted or expires, subsequent API calls are charged at the pay-as-you-go rate.

• Deduction order for multiple packages: If you purchase multiple resource packages, they are consumed in the following order:

  • The package that expires soonest is used first.

  • If expiration times are the same, the package that was ordered first is used first.

  • If multiple packages of the same type in a single order share the same expiration time, one is randomly selected for use.

There are two types of prepaid resource packages:

• Single-category prepaid resource package: Applies to a single, specific feature.

• General-purpose prepaid resource package: Applies to multiple features, including the General-purpose Vision AI Image Resource Package and the General-purpose Video Duration Resource Package. See the table below for their scope.

Billing example

Suppose you purchase a 5,000-point resource package for the Object Detection feature for CNY 50. Each call deducts 0.2 points, so the total number of available calls is: 5,000 / 0.2 = 25,000.

Purchase a resource package

This section shows how to purchase the resource package for the Face Detection and Landmark feature, which is the General-purpose Vision AI Image Resource Package.

1. Log in to the Visual Intelligence Platform console. In the left navigation pane, choose Open Capabilities > Face and Body.

2. If prompted, activate the Face and Body service.

3. On the Service List tab, find Face Detection and Landmark and click Purchase in the Resource Package column.

4. On the General-purpose Vision AI Image Resource Package purchase page, select a Package Specification and a Quantity, and then click Buy Now.

5. Confirm the order and complete the payment.

Prepaid QPS

Billing rules

You can purchase prepaid QPS (queries per second) capacity based on your business requirements. With a prepaid plan, you are not charged on a per-call basis during its validity period.

• During the validity period, a prepaid QPS plan supports renewal, upgrade, and temporary upgrade. You can perform multiple upgrades, but you cannot downgrade a plan after it has been upgraded.

• Expiration: When a prepaid QPS plan expires, subsequent calls are handled differently based on the feature's billing model. For features that support pay-as-you-go, calls are billed at the standard pay-as-you-go rate. For features that do not support pay-as-you-go, the service capacity reverts to the default 2 QPS. To avoid business disruptions, monitor your plan and renew it before it expires.

• You can purchase a maximum of 30 QPS for image segmentation and 50 QPS for Face & Body directly from the console. If you require a higher QPS limit, contact us through the DingTalk group (ID: 23109592).

Billing example

Suppose you require 40 QPS for the Face Comparison 1:1 feature. You can choose to purchase by day or purchase by month. The cost is calculated as follows:

• Purchase by day: 12.8 × 10 + 10.8 × 30 = CNY 452/day

• Purchase by month: 218 × 10 + 188 × 30 = CNY 7,820/month

Purchase QPS

This section demonstrates how to purchase QPS for the Face Detection and Facial Feature Recognition feature.

1. Log in to the Vision AI Platform Console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Open Capabilities > Face & Body.

2. Activate the Face & Body service as prompted on the page.

3. On the Service List tab, find Face Detection and Facial Feature Recognition and click Expand (Free of Charge for Calls) in the QPS expansion column.

4. On the QPS purchase page for Face & Body, select the desired number of QPS for Face Detection and Facial Feature Recognition and the subscription duration. Then, click Buy Now.

5. Confirm the order details and complete the payment.

Upgrade QPS

If your prepaid QPS plan does not meet your business requirements, you can perform a temporary or permanent upgrade. The current maximum QPS you can purchase or upgrade to is 50 for Face & Body, 30 for image segmentation, and 100 for object detection and video production.

• temporary upgrade: A reversible, short-term increase in your QPS capacity.

• upgrade: A permanent increase in your QPS capacity.

In the Service List, find the target service and click Temporary Upgrade or Upgrade in the QPS expansion column.

Purchase an offline SDK

After purchasing an offline SDK, you must activate it on the console to obtain a license. The license validity period begins on the date of activation.

This example shows how to purchase the body keypoints offline SDK.

1. Log in to the Vision Intelligence Platform console. In the left-side navigation tree, choose Offline SDK > Offline SDK Management.

2. Click Buy Now under body keypoints, or Buy Now on the right.

3. On the Vision Intelligence Platform offline SDK purchase page, select the target device, purchase duration, and body keypoints, then click Buy Now.

4. Confirm your order and complete the payment.

5. Return to the console. On the Offline SDK > Offline SDK Management page, in the order list section, click Activate to the right of the purchased SDK instance.
