As an end user, you can manage peripheral configurations and status in the settings panel of the Alibaba Cloud Workspace client and in Cloud Computer Manager on your cloud computer.
Manage peripherals in the Alibaba Cloud Workspace client
You can manage peripheral configurations in the Alibaba Cloud Workspace client, including enabling or disabling usb redirection for peripherals and setting their redirection mode.
Path: Alibaba Cloud Workspace client>>Settings>Peripherals.
Description:
Use the toggle to enable or disable usb redirection for the peripheral.
Set the redirection mode for the peripheral.
You can change these configurations only if the administrator has not set restrictions in a policy. For example, you cannot modify these settings if a policy disables usb redirection or enforces a specific redirection type.
Configure a peripheral on first connection
You must connect peripherals to the WUYING Terminal oron-premises computer running the Alibaba Cloud Workspace client before you can connect the peripherals to a cloud computer.
When you connect a cloud computer to a peripheral for the first time, a connection configuration dialog box appears in the lower-right corner of the cloud computer desktop. In the dialog box, you can select the device type, specify whether to turn on auto-connect, and specify whether to remember the current configurations.
Manage peripherals in DesktopAssistant
After you connect a peripheral to the device that runs the Alibaba Cloud Workspace client, open DesktopAssistant on the cloud computer and click Devices and Printers. On the Peripheral Management tab, confirm that the peripheral appears and its Status is Available. In the Action column, you can select Unmap or Disconnect.
On the Advanced Management tab, you can set the redirection mode to either Device Redirection or USB Redirection and enable or disable auto-connect.
Manage peripherals in Cloud Computer Manager
After connecting to a cloud computer, use Cloud Computer Manager to manage peripheral configurations. Here, you can control which peripherals are allowed to connect and set the device type and redirection mode for each one.
Path: Cloud Computer Manager > Devices and Printers.
Description:
Click the settings icon for a peripheral to open its Settings panel.
In the Settings panel, you can configure the device type, redirection mode, and the auto-connect option.
Use the Disconnect or Connect buttons to change the connection status of the peripheral.
You can change these configurations only if the following conditions are met:
The administrator has not set restrictions in a policy. For example, you cannot change these settings if a policy disables usb redirection or enforces a specific redirection type.
