After you sign in to an Alibaba Cloud Workspace terminal and connect to a cloud computer, you can use peripheral devices connected to the local device, such as audio and video devices, storage devices, and printers. To use peripherals on a cloud computer, certain prerequisites must be met. This topic describes the supported peripherals, usage requirements, and policy configuration requirements.
Prerequisites for peripheral usage
To use peripherals on a cloud computer, the following conditions must be met. In general, conditions listed higher in the table take higher priority. When troubleshooting peripheral issues, work from the bottom of the table upward.

Peripheral management policies are included in cloud computer policies and must be created and maintained by administrators in the console. The policy configuration requirements vary by peripheral type. For more information, see the following table.

The USB redirection permission for peripherals in the cloud computer policy can be globally enabled or selectively enabled by configuring a peripheral allowlist. For detailed instructions, see Configure storage devices.

For Ukey devices that include CD-ROM storage, you must also enable local disk mapping if you use Method 1 (global USB redirection). This step is not required if you use Method 2 (allowlist-based USB redirection).
