Enterprise Drive provides a secure and reliable one-stop service for file storage and management. It includes features such as file storage, sharing, and permission management. This topic describes the features, common scenarios, and usage flow of Enterprise Drive.
File management pain points for enterprises
In daily office work, enterprises often face many pain points in file and data management:
Difficult file management: Team files, such as office documents, project documents, customer data, and technical materials, are stored on employees' personal devices. This makes centralized management difficult. It also creates risks of data breaches, corruption, or loss.
Difficult file search: As work continues, office documents and data accumulate over time. Finding a specific file can be difficult and time-consuming, which reduces office efficiency.
Difficult file transfer: Employees frequently need to transfer files, including large ones, to colleagues, external customers, or partners. Traditional tools, such as instant messaging applications and email, have file size limits and slow transfer speeds.
Difficult document sharing: Files are typically shared using traditional methods, such as instant messaging, email, and USB drives. As files are updated and modified, version control becomes chaotic. This results in poor collaboration efficiency and high communication costs.
Difficult permission management: When files are used and shared within a team, different collaborators require different operation permissions. A lack of fine-grained permission settings can lead to risks such as file corruption, accidental deletion, and data breaches.
Difficult mobile work: When traveling on business, it can be inconvenient to use a computer, which makes it difficult to access necessary work files.
