Group management settings
This topic describes how to manage groups in your organization.
This feature enables organization code administrators to manage all groups at the organization level.
The group settings page includes four configuration sections: Role, which controls who can create groups (organization administrators, organization members, or external members); Visibility, which defines the allowed visibility for new groups (private or internal); Change group visibility, which determines if group owners can change a group's visibility; and Delete group, which specifies whether group owners can delete groups. After you configure these settings, click Save.
Role
-
By default, organization administrators and organization members can create groups.
-
By default, external members cannot create groups. To allow external members to create groups, clear the corresponding checkbox.
Visibility
-
By default, both private and internal groups can be created.
-
If you deselect a visibility option, users can no longer create groups with that visibility.
Change group visibility
-
By default, group owners can change the visibility of their groups.
-
Deselecting this option prevents group owners from changing a group's visibility from internal to private.
Delete group
By default, group owners can delete groups. If this option is deselected, group owners cannot delete groups.
