Manage basic account information

Log on to the Alibaba Cloud home page and hover over your profile picture in the upper-right corner to view your Logon Name, AccountId, and Verification Status.

View sensitive information

Identity verification details, security email, and phone number are hidden by default. To reveal them:

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. The Overview page displays your basic information, including identity verification information, Login name, Account ID, Secure mailbox, and Security phone number.

2. In the upper-right corner of the Overview page, turn on the Show Clear Text switch.

   

3. Complete identity verification as prompted. All hidden information then displays in plaintext.

   

Modify the secure phone number

The secure phone number is the primary method for security verification and important notifications. Modify the secure phone number.

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account section, click the icon next to Security phone number.

   

   Alternatively, go to the Account Security page, find Security mobile number in the Basic Settings section, and click Modify.

   

2. On the Verify Identity page, select a verification method such as Phone Verification, Alipay Verification, or Facial Recognition Verification. If none of these work, see What do I do if I cannot complete identity verification? to file an appeal.

3. After verification, enter your new phone number on the Security mobile number page, complete the verification, and click OK.

   Note

   A phone number can be bound to up to six Alibaba Cloud accounts. If you reach this limit, use a different number or close unused accounts. Close your Alibaba Cloud account.

Modify the logon name

Changing the logon name does not affect your AccountId (UID), cloud resources, configurations, RAM permissions, or AccessKey pairs.

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account section, click the icon next to Login name.

   

2. On the Modify login name page, enter a new Login name that meets the following requirements, and then click Confirm.

   • 5 to 25 characters in length.

   • Must not contain private information such as ID card or bank card numbers.

3. A Logon Name Successfully Modified message appears on success. If the name is taken, a This logon name is already in use message appears.

   Note

   Alibaba Cloud validates logon names (China site) and logon emails (international site) to ensure credentials are globally unique across both sites.

Set or modify the security email address

The security email receives notifications about product activations, resource expirations, and failures.

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account section, click the icon next to Secure mailbox.

   

   Alternatively, go to the Security page, find Secure mailbox in the Basic Settings section, and click Modify.

   

2. On the Verify Identity page, choose a verification method such as Phone Number Verification, Alipay Verification, or Facial Scan Verification. If none of these methods are available, see What do I do if I cannot complete identity verification and need to file an appeal?.

3. After verification, enter your Email Address, click Send verification code, and enter the verification code from your inbox.

   

4. After verification, the security email is set.

Modify the profile picture

Your profile picture helps distinguish between multiple accounts in the console.

• Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account area, click the icon next to your profile picture. Only system-provided avatars are supported.
