Manage basic account information

Go to the Alibaba Cloud homepage and log on to your account. In the upper-right corner of the page, hover over the profile picture to view the Logon Name, Account ID, and Verification Status.

View complete information and sensitive content

Some sensitive information, such as identity verification information, the security email address, and the secure phone number, is hidden by default. To view this information, perform the following steps:

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. The Overview page displays your identity verification information and other basic information, such as Login name, Account ID, Secure mailbox, and Security phone number.

2. In the upper-right corner of the Overview page, turn on the Show Clear Text switch.

3. Complete identity verification as prompted on the page. After you pass the verification, all hidden sensitive information on the page is displayed in plaintext.

Modify the secure phone number

The secure phone number is essential for account security authentication and for receiving important notifications. For more information, see Change your mobile phone number.

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account section, click the icon next to Security phone number.

   Alternatively, go to the Account Security page, find Security mobile number in the Basic Settings section, and click Modify.

2. On the Verify Identity page, select a verification method such as Phone Verification, Alipay Verification, or Facial Recognition Verification.

   If none of these work, see What do I do if I cannot complete identity verification? to file an appeal.

3. After verification, enter your new phone number on the Security mobile number page, complete the verification, and click OK.

   Note

   A phone number can be bound to up to six Alibaba Cloud accounts. If you reach this limit, use a different number or close unused accounts. Close your Alibaba Cloud account.

Modify the logon name

Changing the logon name changes only the credential that you use to log on and does not affect your Account ID (UID), cloud resources, configurations, RAM permissions, or AccessKey pairs.

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account section, click the icon next to Login name to modify it.

2. On the Modify login name page, enter a new Login name that meets the following requirements, and then click Confirm.

   • Must be 5 to 25 characters in length.

   • Must not include private information such as ID card or bank card numbers.

3. If the change is saved, the system displays Logon Name Successfully Modified. If the logon name is the same as that of another account, the system displays This logon name is already in use.

   After the change succeeds, the new logon name may take a short time to appear in locations such as the navigation bar at the top of the console. During this period, business operations such as top-up, withdrawal, and remittance remain available. Refresh the page after a short wait to view the latest logon name.

Set or modify the security email address

The security email address is the key channel for receiving important account notifications. Make sure that the email address you provide remains available over the long term. The security email address receives the following notifications:

• Product or resource expiration reminders: Reminders are sent 30 days, 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before a product or resource expires.

• Renewal reminders: Remind you to renew a product or resource that is about to expire.

• Unusual-location logon alerts: Alerts are sent when the account logs on from an unusual location.

• Security event notifications: Notifications are sent when a security risk is detected for the account.

• Critical operation confirmations: Confirmation messages are sent when a critical operation is performed on the account.

The security email address cannot be unbound and can only be modified. To modify the security email address, perform the following steps:

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account section, click the icon next to Secure mailbox to modify it.

   Alternatively, go to the Security page. In the Basic Settings section, find Secure mailbox and click Modify.

2. On the Verify Identity page, select any verification method provided on the page, such as Phone Number Verification, Alipay Verification, or Facial Scan Verification. If none of these self-service verification methods is available, see How to submit an appeal if you cannot complete identity verification? to file an appeal.

3. After you pass identity verification, enter the Email Address and click Send verification code, and then enter the verification code that you receive in your inbox.

4. After the email address passes verification, the security email address is set.

Modify the account profile picture

The account profile picture is used for personalization or identity recognition in the console and helps you quickly distinguish between multiple accounts. Only system profile pictures are supported. Custom profile pictures are not supported.

To modify the account profile picture, perform the following steps:

• Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center. On the Overview page, in the My Account section, click the icon next to the profile picture to modify it.
