Starting January 8, 2021, Alibaba Cloud Content Delivery Network (CDN) uses the pay-by-traffic metering method by default. If you find that the current metering method does not suit your business needs, you can switch to a more appropriate one. This topic explains how to change the metering method for Alibaba Cloud CDN.
Instructions
Alibaba Cloud CDN supports switching between different metering methods to suit your business requirements.

-
If you have purchased a CDN data transfer package, you must use the pay-by-traffic metering method. Otherwise, the package cannot be used to deduct charges.
-
After you submit a request to change the metering method, the request cannot be canceled, and you cannot initiate another change until the new method takes effect.
-
Billing continues under the original metering method until the new method takes effect.
