Prerequisites
Procedure
Step 1: Create a custom metric. For more information, see Metric management.
Log on to the Cloud Managed Network console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Network Monitoring > Metric Management.
Click the Create Custom Metric button above the list and select Create Application Network Probe Metric.
In the Application Network Probe Metric section, select a network probe task, such as HTTP, TCP, or UDP.
On the Check HTTP Service page, enter the basic information for the metric, such as the metric name, description, and domain name.
Enter a globally unique name for the metric, such as AliYun_HTTP_Monitor.
Enter a description for the metric. Describe the purpose of the metric in detail to simplify future maintenance. For example, enter "Monitor the HTTP service for the Alibaba Cloud official website domain name".
Select the collection probe for the metric, such as CMN-01. This specifies that the probe task is initiated from a probe in the CMN-01 security domain.
Enter the target domain name or IP address to monitor, such as www.aliyun.com or 8.8.8.8.
Enable the metric. Collection is initiated only when the metric is enabled.
(Optional) Add an alert rule. For more information, see Metric management.
Click the Submit button to save the metric.
Step 2: View collected data and alert status. For more information, see Alert status view.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Network Monitoring > Monitoring Status Details.

Click the Details button to open the details page. On this page, click a data metric to view its historical trend.
