Add and manage approval rules
Asset listing and delisting approvals help verify the legitimacy of assets and the completeness of their properties before they are listed. This process prevents sensitive data leaks and misuse. Before an asset is delisted, you can assess whether the delisting will affect business operations. This creates a structured and controllable environment for asset management and promotes effective asset use and management. Approval rules allow you to configure which assets require listing and delisting approvals and specify approval templates. This topic describes how to add and manage approval rules.
Permission description
Super administrators, operations administrators, and custom global roles with Listing Management - Manage permissions can add and manage approval rules.
Listing and delisting approval rule policy
Rules are prioritized from top to bottom based on the sorting order. The first rule that an asset hits is used as its listing or delisting approval rule. If an asset does not hit any rules, no approval is initiated.
Add an approval rule
In the top menu bar of the Dataphin home page, choose Asset > Folder Management.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Other Settings > Approval Rules. On the Approval Rules page, click the Add Approval Rule button.
In the Create Approval Rule dialog box, configure the parameters. The configuration for business metrics, technical metrics, APIs, and dashboard assets is the same as for table assets. This section uses a table asset as an example.
