Analysis platform overview
Dataphin provides a simple, fast, and efficient analysis platform. Use the platform to analyze data in your data warehouse, run interactive queries, and perform visual analysis to support decision-making.
Prerequisites
You must activate the Intelligent R&D Edition.
Analysis platform
On the analysis platform, you can run SQL code in Dev or Basic projects if you have the required permissions. The platform also supports binding a dedicated compute source, letting you run SQL queries outside of a project. We recommend creating a dedicated compute source for the analysis platform before you begin. For more information, see compute source.
After you create a compute source, you must bind it to the analysis platform. For more information, see Analysis platform settings.
Notebook: On the analysis platform, you can create a notebook to document your analysis workflow, including code, execution results, and conclusions. For more information, see Create a notebook on the analysis platform.
SQL query: You can create SQL queries and write SQL code to retrieve data. The platform also lets you visualize query results for statistical analysis. For more information, see Create an SQL query on the analysis platform.
Manual table: The manual table feature lets you create and edit data tables directly in the production environment. For more information, see Create a manual table on the analysis platform.
My Data Tables: Click My Data Tables to view your available data tables on the analysis platform. For more information, see View and manage tables on the analysis platform.
