Create a Ververica Flink compute source
A Ververica Flink compute source hosts the Ververica Flink-based compute resources for a Dataphin project. These resources include resource queues and are measured in Compute Units (CUs). You must attach a Ververica Flink compute source to a project before you can develop compute nodes that use the Ververica Flink engine. This topic describes how to create a Ververica Flink compute source.
Prerequisites
Only accounts with the super administrator or project administrator role can create compute sources. For more information, see Data warehouse plan permission list.
Procedure
Go to the Planning page. For more information, see Data warehouse plan entry points.
On the Planning page, select Ververica Flink Compute Source.

On the Create Compute Source page, configure the parameters.
Parameter
Description
Compute Type
Select Ververica Flink.
Region
Select the region where the compute source is located.
AccessKey ID and AccessKey Secret
Enter the AccessKey ID and AccessKey secret of an account that can access the fully managed Flink project.
Obtain the AccessKey ID and AccessKey secret on the User Information Management page.
ImportantTo ensure a stable connection between the Dataphin project and the Ververica Flink project, use the AccessKey of a Ververica Flink project administrator.
Flink Workspace ID
Select the Flink Workspace ID for the Ververica Flink compute source.
NoteBefore selecting a Flink Workspace ID, you must correctly configure the preceding parameters. Otherwise, the Flink Workspace ID options cannot be retrieved.
Flink Project
Select the Project for the Ververica Flink compute source.
Compute Source Name
Enter a name for the compute source. The name must meet the following requirements:
Contain Chinese characters, digits, letters, underscores (_), or hyphens (-).
Be no more than 64 characters in length.
Description
Enter a brief description for the compute source.
NoteTo create multiple compute sources, click Create Compute Source to add another creation form. You can create up to 10 compute sources at a time.
Click Test Connection to test the connectivity between Dataphin and the account associated with the AccessKey ID.
After the test is successful, click Validate and Submit. The system validates the connectivity of the compute source and then creates the compute source.
What to do next
After you create the Ververica Flink compute source, you can attach it to a project. For more information, see Create a project.
