This topic describes how to use the layer panel.
Add a child widget
In the scenario editor, click the
icon in the upper-right corner of the layer panel and select Select Widget. The Select Widget dialog box appears.In the dialog box, click a widget type tab and select one or more child widgets. You can also click Select All in the upper-right corner. After you make your selections, click OK. The new widget layers may not be visible if their data is outside the current view. To display them, you must adjust the widget's camera view or data.
NoteYou can select and add child widgets from only one widget type tab at a time. To add child widgets of multiple types, repeat this step.
By default, most child widgets are added to the current scenario. To use them in other scenarios, you must assign them. For more information, see Assign a layer to a scenario.
Child widgets from the Raster Tile and Terrain Tile tabs are global. After they are added, they appear in all scenarios. You must configure their data in the widget configuration items.
After a child widget is added, it becomes a layer.
Add spatial data
In the scenario editor, click the
icon in the upper-right corner of the layer panel and select Select Data.In the Select Spatial Data Project dialog box, select a spatial data project and click Next in the lower-right corner.
NoteIf no spatial data projects are available, click Go to Spatial Construction Platform to Create Project in the upper-right corner to create one. For more information, see Create a project.
If you do not configure the data area range when you create the data, the layer may not be visible in the current view after it is added. In this case, you must modify the data in the layer to fit the current view.
In the dialog box, you can select the City Base Data tab and select one or more base data items. Alternatively, you can switch to the Business Data tab, select a business data item, and choose a display format in the dialog box on the right.
NoteYou can add layer data from only one panel at a time: City Base Data or Business Data. To add multiple types of layer data, repeat the preceding steps.
Click OK in the lower-right corner of the Add Layer dialog box. The layer is added to the current scenario. The new layer may not be visible if its data is outside the current view. To display it, you must adjust the layer's camera view.
NoteBy default, the added layer is used only in the current scenario. To use it in other scenarios, you must assign it. For more information, see Assign a layer to a scenario.
Switch the layer view mode
Click the drop-down list above the layer list and select either Current Scenario Layers or All Layers to switch the view mode.
All Layers: When you select the All Layers mode, the layer management list displays all layers from every scenario. You can configure any layer in this list.
Current Scenario Layers: When you select the Current Scenario Layers mode, the layer management list displays only the layers in the current scenario. You can configure these layers from this list.
Show or hide a layer
In the layer list, move the mouse over a layer and click the
icon on the right to show or hide it.
Export a layer to the blueprint editor
In the layer list, move the mouse over a layer and click the
icon on the right to export it to the blueprint editor. You can then configure interactions for the layer node in the blueprint editor. To cancel the export, click the icon again. After you cancel the export, you can no longer configure interactions for the layer node.
Add and remove keyframe properties
Click the
icon on the right side of the layer to add its properties to the keyframe panel.In the keyframe panel, adjust the layer's property configurations for each keyframe.
To remove the layer's properties from the keyframe panel, click the
icon again and then click OK in the confirmation dialog box.ImportantWhen you remove a layer's keyframe properties, all property configurations for that layer are also deleted from all keyframes. This action cannot be undone.
Copy a layer
In the layer list, move the mouse over a layer and click the
icon on the right to copy it. The copy is automatically assigned to all scenarios that contain the original layer.
Rename a layer
In the layer list, move the mouse over a layer, click the
icon on the right, and enter a new name in the input box.
Layer assignment scenarios
In the layer list, move the mouse over a layer and click the
icon on the right. In the dialog box that appears, select one or more scenarios to assign the layer to.
Delete a layer
In the layer list, move the mouse over a layer and click the
icon on the right to delete it.
Deleted layers cannot be recovered. This action cannot be undone.
