This topic describes how to unsubscribe from an instance.
Before you unsubscribe
Before you unsubscribe, make sure that you understand the refund rules and limitations. For more information, see Unsubscription rules.
When you unsubscribe from an Alibaba Cloud DNS instance, the instance is released immediately. To prevent interruptions to your domain name resolution, detach or reassign the domain names from the instance beforehand. For more information, see Detach a domain name from an instance.
Unsubscription methods
To unsubscribe from Alibaba Cloud DNS, you can unsubscribe from resources in use or cancel a renewal. For resources in use, Alibaba Cloud DNS currently supports only partial refunds. For more information about unsubscription rules, see Unsubscription rules.
Partial refunds
Go to the Expenses and Costs console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Orders > Unsubscribe.
On the Unsubscribe tab, select Common Cloud Resources. Set Product Name to Alibaba Cloud DNS (Subscription) and Type to Partial Refund. Then, click Unsubscribe in the Actions column for the resource plan that you want to unsubscribe from.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the unsubscription process.
Cancel a renewal
Conditions for Unsubscribing
The resource has been successfully created and renewed. Before the renewal period takes effect, you can cancel only the pending renewal order.
How to unsubscribe
For example, an Alibaba Cloud DNS instance:
Go to the Expenses and Costs console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Orders > Unsubscribe.
On the Cancel Pending Renewal tab, set Product Name to Alibaba Cloud DNS (Subscription). Then, click Cancel Renewal in the Actions column for the resource that you want to cancel.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Refunds apply only to the amount paid for an order in cash or with a stored value card. The amount paid with cash coupons or other coupons is not refundable.
When will I receive a refund after cancellation?
If you successfully unsubscribe from a product, the refund typically arrives within 2 to 3 business days. For more information, see Unsubscription FAQ.
