After you develop and test the product features, the device is ready for mass production. Follow the mass production flow for your product on the Batch Production page.
Overview
The mass production flow varies based on the product's project type and the app client it connects to, as shown in the following table.

Mass production for private brand project products (name review required)
For private brand project products in the Light, Socket, or Switch categories, if you select Public App as the client and select the Manually select product list/search check box for the Network Provisioning Guide, the product name must be reviewed before mass production. For more information, see Configure the network provisioning guide. The mass production flow is shown in the following figure.
- Publish the product.
Before you publish the product, confirm the product information and select the I fully understand and agree to the Developer Notice and the Authorization Agreement check box. For more information about publishing a product, see Publish a product for a private brand project.
- Purchase activation codes. For more information, see Activation code billing.
- For Link Visual products, make the purchase on the Purchase Video Activation Codes page.
- For products other than Link Visual, make the purchase on the Purchase Activation Codes page.
- Start pilot production.
During the pilot production stage, you can configure a small number of devices for mass production. For more information, see Mass-produce devices.
- Wait for product name review.
The product name must comply with platform rules to pass the review. For more information about the rules, see Configure product display information.
- Start batch production.
Configure the actual number of devices for mass production. For more information, see Mass-produce devices.
Mass production for private brand project products (no name review required)
For private brand project products, the product name does not need to be reviewed during mass production if the following conditions are met. For more information about the categories, app clients, and additional limits, see Configure the network provisioning guide. The mass production flow is shown in the following figure.

Mass production for Tmall Genie ecosystem project products
For Tmall Genie ecosystem project products, the client is always the Tmall Genie App. The mass production flow is shown in the following figure.
- Publish the product.
Before you publish the product, confirm the product information and submit the materials required for product review. For more information, see Publish a product for a Tmall Genie ecosystem project.
- Request activation codes. For more information, see Activation code billing.
- Start batch production.
Configure the actual number of devices for mass production. For more information, see Mass-produce devices.
- List the product.
After the product is listed, it appears on the page in the Tmall Genie App and is visible to all Tmall Genie App users.
