Overview
This topic describes how to configure Alibaba Mail in Outlook 2019 using the POP3 or IMAP protocol.
Details
Before you start, make sure that the POP3/SMTP and IMAP/SMTP services are enabled. For more information, see Persistent password error when you configure Alibaba Mail in Outlook and Foxmail.
1. Start Outlook 2019. In the configuration wizard, select Let me set up my account manually.
2. In the Advanced Settings window, select POP or IMAP as the protocol type.
IMAP is recommended for server-side synchronization.
3. In the account Settings window, enter the server addresses for incoming and outgoing mail, and then click Next.
4. We recommend using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to enhance security. The server configuration is as follows:
Alibaba Mail IMAP, POP, and SMTP addresses and ports
5. Enter the mailbox password and click Connect.
6. After the configuration is authenticated, wait for the mailbox account to be validated.
7. After the validation is successful, you can send and receive emails.
