What is the difference between Reach Marketing and Ad Marketing?

Reach Marketing and Ad Marketing are two user marketing features provided by Quick Audience.

  • Reach Marketing: Sends content through channels such as text messages, emails, push notifications, WeChat, and Douyin.

When Quick Audience executes a marketing task, the content is delivered to the specified audience or followers on WeChat and Douyin. Quick Audience also supports marketing performance analysis.

  • Ad Marketing: Pushes audiences to Data Bank, Damengpan, or ad platforms such as U-Oplus, Ocean Engine, Tencent Ad, Baidu Ad, and Qumedia.

After Quick Audience executes an audience push task, the corresponding Data Bank, Damengpan, or ad platform receives the audience information.

If you want to run ad campaigns for these audiences, you must create ad orders on the corresponding ad platforms. When the ad platform runs these campaigns, Quick Audience can analyze their marketing performance.

Push tasks for platforms like U-Oplus and Ocean Engine have an AES encryption switch. Does Quick Audience provide an encryption feature?

When you push an audience to channels such as U-Oplus and Ocean Engine, you must specify if the audience ID is AES-encrypted. If it is encrypted, the system decrypts the ID before the push so that the channel can use it.

Quick Audience does not provide an encryption feature. To encrypt IDs, you must use a user-defined function (UDF). For more information about the AES encryption UDF, see AES encryption function.

What is the difference between promotional messages and notifications in SMS Marketing?

Promotional messages and notifications are two types of SMS marketing messages supported by Quick Audience. They have the following similarities:

  • Both are text messages that support variables or short links. The short links can contain short parameters.

  • Both can be sent through the Alibaba Cloud SMS platform or third-party SMS platforms.

They have the following differences:

  • Promotional messages support only one variable or short link, while there is no limit for notifications.

  • They have different review standards. For example, notifications cannot contain marketing content. For more information, see Alibaba Cloud SMS template specifications and the template specifications of third-party SMS platforms.

  • They have different billing standards. For pricing details, see Alibaba Cloud SMS pricing and the pricing of third-party SMS platforms.

If I modify a template after selecting it for an SMS or email marketing task, does the new content need to be reviewed?

If you select a template on the SMS or email marketing task creation page and then modify it, the system creates a new template with the modified content. The new template is named after the current task.

The new template must be reviewed again. The content can be sent only after the template is approved. You can manage the new template from the template list.

For SMS and email marketing tasks, does the template review affect the send time?

Templates for text messages and emails must be approved before the messages can be sent. The specific rules are as follows:

  • For SMS and email marketing tasks that are configured to be sent immediately, the messages are sent immediately after the template is approved.

  • For scheduled SMS marketing tasks, you cannot use templates that are under review or modify templates. You can only use approved templates.

  • For scheduled email marketing tasks, you can use templates that are under review or modify existing templates. After the template is approved, the email is sent at the scheduled time.
