Create a project

Creating a project is the first step to using the IoT Platform. Because data is isolated between projects, you can create different projects for different customers or grant authorization for a specific project to another Alibaba Cloud account. This simplifies collaboration and independent delivery by an Operations Hub.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the IoT Platform console.
  2. Click Create New Project.
  3. Set the project name.

    The following figure shows an example. For your own projects, set the project name to your customer's name. This makes the project easier to identify for operations such as forwarding, authorization, or statistics.

  4. Click OK.
    After the project is created, you are automatically redirected to the project homepage.
