Engine
An engine is the basic component that provides search services. You can manage engines in the Resource Center or add them on the quick creation page. For more information, see the Engine Management User Guide.

Specifications

Plugins
Install the aliws plugin.
Install the aliyun-knn plugin. For more information, see the aliyun-knn plugin installation instructions.
Secure Link
Enable public network access in the secure configuration of the ES instance. Then, add the IP address range to the whitelist.

Add an engine
In the console, enter the engine address in the following format: http://<ES service name>.public.elasticsearch.aliyuncs.com:9200
Example
Connect through the Qianxun private network
*Before you connect to the private network, you must provide your Alibaba Cloud account ID to have it added to the endpoint service visibility whitelist.
Log on to your Alibaba Cloud account and go to the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) console at https://vpc.console.aliyun.com/overview.
In the navigation pane, choose Virtual Private Cloud > Endpoints. Then, click Create Endpoint.
Configure the endpoint and create it:
Region: China (Beijing)
Node Name: Enter a custom name.
Endpoint Type: Reverse Endpoint
Endpoint Service: Select an available service. For example, select Qianxun Search - Reverse Endpoint Service.
VPC and Security Group: Select the VPC and security group that contain the service that requires a private network connection.
Zone and vSwitch: Select China (Beijing) Zone G or China (Beijing) Zone H. If a vSwitch is not available in these zones, you must create one first.
Use the endpoint instance ID to connect the engine or data source in the Qianxun console.
