Create a MyBase on ACK instance

After you create an ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated cluster, create an instance in the cluster to use the features of ApsaraDB for MyBase.

Prerequisites

You have created a MyBase on ACK cluster.

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the console, select a region. Find the cluster that you want to manage and click the cluster ID to go to the cluster management page.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

  4. Click Create Instance.

  5. Set the following parameters.

    MySQL

    Parameter

    Description

    Cluster

    The ID of the cluster to which the instance belongs.

    Engine

    Select PolarDB-X.

    Instance Edition

    Select Enterprise Edition or Standard Edition as needed.

    Specification Series

    Select Shared Instance or Dedicated Instance as needed.

    Engine Compatibility

    This parameter is fixed to MySQL 8.0.

    Deployment Method

    This parameter is fixed to Single Data Center.

    Storage Node Specifications

    Select the specifications for the storage nodes.

    Number of Storage Nodes

    Select the number of storage nodes.

    Note

    This parameter is available only for the Enterprise Edition.

    Compute Node Specifications

    Select the specifications for the compute nodes.

    Note

    This parameter is available only for the Enterprise Edition.

    Number of Compute Nodes

    Select the number of compute nodes.

    Note

    This parameter is available only for the Enterprise Edition.

    Storage Space per Node

    Set the storage space for a single node.

    Instance Name

    You can customize the instance name.

    Account Name

    Set the database account.

    Account Password

    Enter a password for the account and confirm it.

    The ID of the cluster to which the instance belongs.

    Select MySQL 8.0.

    Deployment Architecture

    Select the deployment architecture for the database engine. The following options are supported:

    • Standalone

    • Primary/secondary

    Primary Zone

    Select the primary zone for the instance. Currently, only Random Distribution is supported.

    Secondary Zone

    Select the secondary zone for the instance. Currently, only Random Distribution is supported.

    Database Engine Node

    Specifications

    Select the specifications for the database engine node.

    Data Disk

    Select the Storage Class and Capacity for the data disk of the database engine node.

    Backup Disk

    Select the Storage Class and Capacity for the backup disk of the database engine node.

    Database High Availability Management Component

    Specifications

    Select the specifications for the Database High Availability Management Component.

    Instance Name

    You can customize the instance name.

    Privileged Account

    Set the password for the database root account, and create a new database account and password.

  6. Click Create Instance.
