Activate web search
This topic describes how to activate the web search feature in General Search, including steps to apply for trial and paid accounts. Follow this process to activate the feature.

Process description
Click the official website link or go to the Information Query Service console to request activation.
Each account can activate only one instance. To make changes, contact the product manager.
After you request activation, a free trial API is automatically enabled. The trial is ready to use within 5 minutes.
The trial has the following default limits: 5 QPS, 5,000 total calls (1,000 for individual accounts), and a 15-day validity period.
Enterprise accounts must create a Resource Access Management (RAM) user and an AccessKey.

View the activation status and call details in the Information Query Service console.
The service offers two activation options, each with a different process:
If you purchase "Activate Service (with Trial Package)", you receive a free trial quota of X calls for Y days. For details, see the console. Billing begins after the trial ends.
Metered billing starts when either the X calls are used or the Y-day validity period ends. The billing method is based on the actual daily call volume. For specific rules, see Product Billing.
If you purchase "Trial Only", only a free trial quota of X calls for Y days is activated. You must manually request the paid service.
When the call limit is reached or the validity period ends, the API is automatically disabled. To use the paid service, go to the console and manually select "Activate Now". Console link
