Share analytics
The share feature is a key method for attracting new users and acquiring customers for your miniapps. It is also an important metric for evaluating the health of a miniapp. The Share analytics page displays share data for the selected miniapp, which is available with a T+1 delay. The data includes five metrics, such as the number of users who shared, the number of shares, and the share return traffic. This information helps you understand the viral sharing effect of your miniapp. You can view statistics for the last 1, 7, or 30 days.
To view share analytics data, complete the following steps:
Log on to the mPaaS console and select the target application. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Mini Program > Mini Program Analytics > Share Analytics.
From the drop-down list in the upper-left corner of the page, select the target miniapp.
Select a time range to view statistics for that period.
To export the share analytics data to an Excel file, select a time period and click the Export button in the upper-right corner of the page. In the exported file, the summary data and the line chart data for each metric are displayed on separate sheets.
Share analytics overview
This section displays statistics for five metrics for a specified time period: number of users who shared, number of shares, share return traffic, share return ratio, and new shares. This section also shows the growth rates compared to the previous day, the same period last week, or the same period last month.
The metrics are described as follows:
Metric | Description |
Number of users who shared | The total number of unique users who shared a miniapp page. A user who shares multiple times is counted only once. |
Number of shares | The total number of times a miniapp page was shared. |
Share return traffic | Each time a miniapp is accessed by clicking a share link, it is counted as a return visit for that share. |
Share return ratio | This metric reflects the propagation effect of sharing. Share return ratio = (Share return traffic / Number of shares) × 100 %. |
Add a share | The number of new users who access the miniapp for the first time through a share link. |
The day before yesterday | The growth rate of the cumulative data on the selected day compared to the cumulative data of the previous day. Day-over-day growth = (Share data for the specified date – Share data for the previous day) / Share data for the previous day. If the divisor is 0, it is treated as 1. The result is truncated to an integer percentage. |
Week-over-week | The growth rate of the cumulative data over the last 7 days compared to the cumulative data from 8 to 14 days ago. Week-over-week growth = (Share data for the last 7 days – Share data for the same period last week) / Share data for the same period last week. If the divisor is 0, it is treated as 1. The result is truncated to an integer percentage. |
Corresponding Period Last Month | The growth rate of the cumulative data over the last 30 days compared to the cumulative data from 31 to 60 days ago. Month-over-month growth = (Share data for the last 30 days – Share data for the same period last month) / Share data for the same period last month. If the divisor is 0, it is treated as 1. The result is truncated to an integer percentage. |
Share trends
This section displays the change trends of each metric in a line chart over a specified time period. You can click a metric card to display its trend in the line chart.
Detailed data
This section displays hourly or daily share analytics statistics in a table for the selected time period. You can sort the data by time.
The time granularity of the data depends on the selected time range. If the query time range is 1 day, the data is displayed with hourly granularity. If the time range is 7 or 30 days, the data is displayed with daily granularity.
