This topic describes common errors that occur when you send emails from the Alibaba Mail web client.

1. Mailbox domain name does not exist
Problem description
After you enter a recipient's mailbox address, an orange exclamation point appears. Hovering over the address shows: The domain name for this address may not exist. Click the icon to modify it.
Cause
The domain name after the at sign (@) in the recipient's address does not exist.
Solution
Correct the recipient's mailbox address.
2. Recipient address does not exist
Problem description
Sending an email returns the error: Recipient address does not exist (error code: 80003).
Cause
Incorrect account name — The domain name is valid, but the account name (the part before the at sign) does not exist.
Switched email service — The recipient previously used Alibaba Mail but has since moved to a different email service.
Frozen account — The recipient's mailbox account is frozen.
Solution
If the account name is incorrect, correct it and resend the email.
If the address is correct, ask the recipient to detach their domain name from the Alibaba Mail system, then try again. See Change the domain name attached to an Alibaba Mail mailbox.
If the account is frozen, unfreeze it. See An error message appears when I log on to the Alibaba Mail web client: Your account has been frozen or logged off.
3. Recipient address has an incorrect format
Problem description
After you enter a recipient's mailbox address, a red exclamation point appears. Hovering over the address shows: The format of this address is incorrect. Click the icon to modify it.
Cause
The recipient's address is not in a valid email format.
Solution
Check the recipient's address and enter a valid mailbox address.
4. Incorrect sender address
Problem description
Sending an email returns the error: Incorrect sender address (error code: 80003).
Solution

5. Logon session expired
Problem description
While using the mailbox in the web client, the following message appears: Sorry, an unknown error may have occurred. Please wait 5 minutes and then try to refresh the page. Or, contact your company's mailbox administrator for assistance.
Cause
You logged in to a different account in the same browser, which ended your current session.
Solution
Log in again to the account you want to use. To use two accounts at the same time, open an incognito window and log in to the second account there. For example, in Chrome:
6. Account is blocked
Problem description
Sending an email returns the error: Sending frequency is too high or another unknown error occurred. Please try again later.

Cause
Suspected spam — The account is blocked because it may have been compromised and used to send spam.
Sending limit exceeded — You sent too many emails within a short period, exceeding the frequency limit.
