Resolve the Resolution not effective status that may appear in the Alibaba Mail console after activation.
Problem description
After activating Alibaba Mail, the resolution status in the Mail console shows Resolution not effective.
Cause
The Alibaba Mail console periodically checks domain name resolution status. If the console shows Resolution not effective, the possible causes are:

Alibaba Mail was just activated and the initial resolution check has not completed, so the status shows Resolution not effective.

The domain name resolution for the mailbox is not configured or is configured incorrectly, causing validation to fail.
Solution
Follow these steps:
1. Log on to the Mail console.
2. In the mailbox list, find your mailbox and click Manage on the right.
3. On the Basic Information tab, click Check Domain Name Resolution or Refresh Status.
4. Based on the result of the check, take the appropriate action:
a. If the resolution status is Resolution effective, you can log on to Alibaba Mail and use it. For more information, see the Activation guide.
b. If the resolution status is Resolution not effective, check your DNS records to confirm that the domain name resolution for the mailbox is configured correctly. For information about how to set up domain name resolution, see Alibaba Mail domain name resolution.
