Solutions for handling spam in Alibaba Mail
Problem description
You receive spam in your Alibaba Mail inbox.
Solutions
If you receive spam in the Alibaba Mail web client, use the following methods to handle it:
1. Report spam
The following two methods are available for the report operation:
1. In the mail list, select the checkbox next to the email and click the Report button.
Alternatively, when viewing an email, click More Operations in the upper-right corner, and then select Report Spam or Report Phishing.
2. Select the Add sender to blacklist checkbox.
Configure Blacklist actions for incoming emails
1. In the upper-right corner of the mailbox, click the gear icon to open the Mail Settings page.
2. Select Blacklist. Add the sender's account or domain name to the blacklist. This action applies the rule to all incoming emails from that sender.
3. In the anti-spam options, you can adjust the anti-spam level and select how to handle spam.
3. Create an inbox rule to reject emails
1. Select Inbox Rules and click Create Inbox Rule.
2. Configure the mail rule. Set a condition where the sender's address contains or is equal to a specific email address or domain name. For the Action, select Normal Rule or Permanently Delete. This rule automatically processes future emails that match the condition.
Do not create rules that are too simple because they might cause false positives. This can result in legitimate emails being moved or deleted.
