Mobile Dispatch Center (MDC) is a fine-grained mobile scheduling service that groups users based on client-side business properties. It helps you quickly and effectively achieve goals such as grayscale testing, A/B testing, and managing system faults for specific business groups.

Benefits

The benefits of Mobile Dispatch Center are as follows:

  • Precise user-level scheduling

MDC achieves fine-grained user scheduling by grouping users based on business properties. It supports scheduling based on a unique client DeviceID, UserID, or a custom user identity.

  • Adaptable to multiple business scenarios

The scheduling service is suitable for various scenarios, such as network failover, A/B testing, grayscale testing, and system disaster recovery and backup.

  • High availability

The service provides 99.95% availability. Server-side configurations are applied in seconds and take effect on the client within seconds after being pulled.

  • Compatible configuration

Domain name scheduling supports CNAME configurations and allows for smooth switching between IPv6 and IPv4. It is also compatible with standard scheduling services.

Scenarios

The scenarios for Mobile Dispatch Center are as follows:

  • Anti-hijacking for domain names

Local DNS domain hijacking is a common issue. You can use the mobile scheduling service to avoid this security risk and improve access security for mobile terminals.

  • Fast DNS resolution

The service provides domain name resolution, allowing clients to proactively request resolution. This ensures that a domain name is resolved before a resource is accessed.

  • Disaster recovery scheduling

Mobile Internet access links are complex. This creates a need for precise, policy-based control over network access for mobile terminals. If a data center fails and services are interrupted, you can use priorities and weights to implement various disaster recovery modes, such as active-standby or active-active. This quickly directs clients to a functioning data center.

  • Intelligent optimal access

Faster and better access improves the user experience. Mobile Dispatch Center uses the user's carrier information to connect clients to the optimal network.

Features

The features of Mobile Dispatch Center are as follows:

  • Fine-grained domain policy scheduling

You can configure scheduling policies based on conditions such as domain name, region, carrier, and user group. These policies schedule users in a specific group to a designated access point. You can also configure priorities and weights to manage disaster recovery scheduling for MDC traffic.

  • Efficient management of domain name groups

A client can send a single request to Mobile Dispatch Center for a domain name group. This allows the client to retrieve the resolution results for all domain names in the group at once, greatly improving request efficiency.

  • Convenient management of user groups

You can configure multiple user groups to enable user-level scheduling for domain names.

  • Flexible management of system configuration switches

The system configuration switch controls whether a component's domain name uses Mobile Dispatch Center to retrieve resolution results. This feature is enabled by default. When enabled, the component's domain name is resolved directly by Mobile Dispatch Center, bypassing Local DNS. This provides efficient anti-hijacking.
