Usage notes

Important

Review these constraints before submitting a change order:

  • Submitted orders cannot be canceled. Verify the new specifications meet your requirements before you proceed.

  • Disk storage capacity can only be scaled out, never in.

  • Services may be interrupted for about 30 seconds, once or twice, during the change. Most database, account, and network operations are unavailable during this window.

  • After submitting the order, do not perform DDL operations until the new configuration takes effect.

  • The instance restarts automatically after the change. No manual restart is needed.

Tip: Schedule changes during off-peak hours, or make sure your application reconnects automatically.
