Event analysis provides a statistical breakdown of event-based metrics. It helps you understand how users interact with your app. The event analysis page displays the configured and reported events from the Event and Property Configuration page.
Procedure
Log in to the mPaaS console to add a custom event analysis report:
In the navigation pane on the left, click Mobile Analysis > Custom Analysis > Event Analysis.
On the page that appears, click the New Event Analysis button to open the event analysis configuration page. Alternatively, in the event analysis list, you can select an event to analyze and configure.
Add event analysis metrics. From the metric drop-down list, select the event to analyze and the event properties to display in the report. You can add multiple metrics.
(Optional) Add filter conditions for the analysis metrics.
Click Filter Condition to the right of a metric to set filter conditions for that metric. Multiple filter conditions under a single metric are combined with an AND operator.
Click the plus sign (+) to the right of a filter condition to add a sub-filter. Multiple sub-filters are combined with an OR operator.
Select viewing dimensions. These are the aggregation dimensions for the metrics. You can add multiple dimensions. From the Viewing Dimension drop-down list, select dimensions for data display. The available dimensions correspond to the properties associated with the event, including custom and preset properties.
Click Save as Report to save the analysis configuration as a report.
In the Settings window that appears, set the report name, display granularity, chart type, and chart size. Then, click OK to save the configuration.
The configured analysis report is displayed on the event analysis details page. Data appears in the report after the client reports the relevant logs. However, the report does not include data from before the event was created.
