This topic describes how to use the product management feature.
Product management page
In the console, navigate to to open the product management page. The page includes the Import Product and + Add Product buttons. You can also filter products by status or search by product title.
Manage product categories
Click Add Category to create a new category. When creating a category, you can assign it a parent category. After a category is created, you can change its name and parent category.
Product categories help you find and manage products. They also let you display products grouped by category when you use a category widget. In the Select a Category dialog box, select the Product Category radio button, choose the categories from the list (for example, Product Category One, Product Category Two, and Product Category Three), then click OK. To add a new category, click + Add Category in the upper-right corner.
Manage the product list
You can select one or more products to move, set their status, or delete them.
Edit product content
To watch a video tutorial on uploading products, click Upload Products and Articles.
You can edit product content in two ways: by uploading a file or editing online.
Upload a file: Click to upload a product.
NoteFile format: Microsoft Word documents are required. Avoid using special characters, which might cause the product to display incorrectly or become uneditable after upload. Special characters are typically those not found on a standard keyboard and require an input method editor (IME) or other tools to type.
Batch upload: To upload multiple files at once, press and hold the Ctrl key while selecting files. You can upload up to 50 files at a time.
Online editing: Click Add Product to edit a product online. The online editor has three sections: Edit Basic Information, Edit Product Parameters, and Edit E-commerce Settings.
Edit Basic Information: In this section, you can edit the product image, product name, product brief, product details, product search keyword, SEO keyword, product description, and permission control.
Edit Product Parameters: In this section, you can edit product parameters.
Edit E-commerce Settings: In this section, you can edit the shipping method, product specifications, and related products.
Add products to a page
Follow these steps:
On the Product Management page, upload or edit products.
In the designer, add a product list widget to a page, such as the homepage. You can also use other linkable widgets, like images or buttons, to display your products. To link an image to a product, select the image in the website editor, click the Edit tab on the right, and set the link type to Product.
Edit the product details page
Click the current page name, click System Page Management in the pop-up dialog box, and then switch to the Product Details Page to adjust the display style.
On the product details page, you can edit widget styles and add or remove widgets. For more information about editing, see Detail Page Widgets.
The editor for the product details page includes the Product Carousel, Product Title, Product Brief, Product Details, and Previous Product/Next Product navigation widgets. When you select a widget, a toolbar appears at the bottom with configuration tabs such as Arrange, Animation, Edit, and Style.
