You must first activate Intelligent Media Services (IMS) to perform tasks such as media asset management, media processing, and production on your videos or live streams. This topic describes how to activate the service.
Prerequisites
You have registered an Alibaba Cloud account and completed the real-name registration process. If you do not have an account, go to the Alibaba Cloud official website to sign up. For registration instructions, see Register an Alibaba Cloud account. For real-name registration instructions, see Individual real-name registration or Enterprise real-name registration.
Procedure
Log in to your Alibaba Cloud account and go to the Intelligent Media Services (IMS) product details page.
Click Management Console to open the Intelligent Media Services page, and then click Activate Now.
Read the Intelligent Media Services (IMS) Terms of Service, select the I have read and agree to the IMS Terms of Service checkbox, and then click Activate Now.
Return to the console, click Service Authorization, and then click Agree to Authorization to authorize IMS to access Object Storage Service (OSS), ApsaraVideo VOD, ApsaraVideo Media Processing (MPS), and Message Service (MNS).
ImportantThis authorization grants Intelligent Media Services (IMS) permissions to access other cloud resources by using a system-created role. If you accidentally delete the AliyunICEDefaultRole role, log in to the authorization page or the console to grant the permissions again.
