This topic describes how to upload media assets to the Intelligent Media Services (IMS) console by using local upload, URL-based upload, or importing from OSS.

Prerequisites

Notes

  • For a local upload, the maximum file size is 48.8 TB for a single audio or video file, and 50 MB for a single subtitle or font file.

  • For a URL-based upload or an import from OSS, the maximum file size for a single audio or video file is 5 GB.

  • In the console, you can only upload M3U8 files by using the URL-based upload method.

  • File name extensions are not case-sensitive. The uploader automatically filters out files with unsupported extensions.

Upload an audio or video file

  1. Log on to the Intelligent Media Services (IMS) console.

  2. In the upper-left corner, select a region based on your business requirements.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Media Asset Management > Media Library > Audio/Video.

  4. Click Upload Audio/Video and configure the parameters.

    Upload method

    Local upload

    Uploads audio or video files from your local computer. In the upload list, you can enter the Audio/Video Name and select a category. You can modify categories in bulk.

    URL-based upload

    Uploads a file from a URL. In the upload list, you must enter the URL, Format, and Audio/Video Name, and then select a category. You can modify categories in bulk.

    Import from OSS

    Uploads an audio or video file from OSS. In the upload list, you can enter the Audio/Video Name and select a category. You can modify categories in bulk.

    Storage address

    Supports OSS and ApsaraVideo VOD storage addresses:

    • OSS storage address: supports local upload.

    • ApsaraVideo VOD storage address: supports local upload and URL-based upload.

    OSS object

    If you use the Import from OSS method, you must select the target OSS object.

  5. Click OK to start the upload.

Upload an image

  1. Log on to the Intelligent Media Services (IMS) console.

  2. In the upper-left corner, select a region based on your business requirements.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Media Asset Management > Media Library > Image.

  4. Click Upload Image and configure the parameters.

    Import from OSS

    Uploads an image file from OSS. In the upload list, you can enter an Image Name and select a category. You can modify categories in bulk.

    Storage address

    The destination storage address in OSS or ApsaraVideo VOD for locally uploaded files.

    OSS object

    If you use the Import from OSS method, you must select the target OSS object.

  5. Click OK to start the upload.

Upload an auxiliary media asset

  1. Log on to the Intelligent Media Services (IMS) console.

  2. In the upper-left corner, select a region based on your business requirements.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Media Asset Management > Media Library > Auxiliary Media Asset.

  4. Click Upload Auxiliary Media Asset and configure the parameters.

    Uploads a font or subtitle file from your local computer. In the upload list, you can enter the Name of Auxiliary Media Asset and select a category. You can modify categories in bulk.

    Import from OSS

    Uploads a font or subtitle file from OSS. In the upload list, you can enter the Name of Auxiliary Media Asset and select a category. You can modify categories in bulk.

    Storage address

    The destination storage address in OSS or ApsaraVideo VOD for locally uploaded files.

    OSS object

    If you use the Import from OSS method, you must select the target OSS object.

  5. Click OK to start the upload.
