Activate ApsaraVideo VOD

Prerequisites

An Alibaba Cloud account is created and identity verification is complete. To create an Alibaba Cloud account, visit the Alibaba Cloud official website. For more information, see Create an Alibaba Cloud account. For information about identity verification, see Individual identity verification or Enterprise identity verification.

Procedure

1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo VOD console.

2. Click Activate ApsaraVideo VOD.

   

3. Select a billing method for ApsaraVideo VOD, read and agree to the ApsaraVideo VOD Terms of Service, and then click Activate Now.

   Important

   • Learn about the billing of ApsaraVideo VOD and select a billing method that meets your requirements. For more information about billing, see Billing overview.

   • Activating the service includes resource access authorization. This process creates a service-linked role named AliyunVODDefaultRole and grants it permissions to access your cloud resources. If you accidentally delete the AliyunVODDefaultRole role, go to the authorization page to grant the permissions again.

4. After the service is activated, go to the Overview page in the ApsaraVideo VOD console to get started.
