Version upgrade
IoT Edge lets you upgrade the base system of your edge appliances with a single click in the console.
Prerequisites
An edge device has been activated. For more information, see Activate an edge device.
Procedure
Log on to the IoT Edge console.
From the drop-down list in the navigation pane on the left, select your instance.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Node Management > Host Management.
On the Host Management page, find the host that you want to upgrade and click Host Details in the Operation column.
On the Basic Information tab of the Host Details page, click Version Details.
In the Version Details pane, view the available base system versions. Click Update next to the desired version to start the upgrade.
ImportantThe version upgrade takes about 10 minutes. Your edge appliance is not shut down during the process, but your services are interrupted. Services automatically resume after the upgrade is complete.
In the Update Details pane that appears, you can view the update progress and log.
