Interactive Messages for Live Streaming enhances communication and interaction within live channels. Its cross-platform SDKs let you add features such as comments, live comments, and likes to your live streaming applications.
Usage notes
-
You must integrate Interactive Messages on the server side before you integrate it on the client side. For more information, see Server-side integration and Client-side integration.
-
By default, historical messages in an Instant Messaging (IM) group are stored for 30 days. When you create an application, you can set the storage period to 90 or 180 days. Messages are automatically deleted after they expire.
-
Interactive messaging is a paid feature. It is currently in public preview and is free to use. After the public preview ends, standard fees will apply. The end date of the public preview will be announced at a later time.
The old version of Interactive Messages for Live Streaming is built on a traditional IM architecture with limited room for optimization and is no longer maintained. It is not available to new users. Existing users can continue to use it without interruption. The new version offers more reliable message transmission, more features, and a smaller SDK package. If you are using the old version, we recommend that you migrate to the new version as soon as possible. New users must use the new version.
