Quota Center allows you to view and increase ApsaraVideo Live quotas, monitor current quota usage, and set up alert rules to stay informed before quotas are exhausted.

Features

Quota Center provides the following features for ApsaraVideo Live:

  • Quota query: View service quotas, availability of quota increases, and maximum allowable quotas.

  • Quota application: Submit an application to increase quotas and track the application status.

  • Quota alerts: Configure alert rules based on percentage or absolute values to receive notifications when usage approaches a quota, so you can request increases proactively.

Benefits

  • All-in-one: Manage all service quotas from a single, unified platform.

  • Transparent: View both default and increased quotas at a glance.

  • Automated: Set up quota alerts that trigger automatically when usage approaches the limit, helping you request increases before resources run out.

  • Efficient: Quota applications in Quota Center are faster and more streamlined than submitting tickets.

Usage notes

Important

The quota management feature is supported in the China (Beijing), China (Shanghai), China (Shenzhen), and Singapore regions.

  • If your business requires a quota higher than the value that is described in the Limits topic, you must submit an application. Alibaba Cloud reviews your application and increases the quota based on your business requirements. For more information, see Request a quota increase.

  • You can log on to the Quota Center console by using an Alibaba Cloud account or as a RAM user. If you log on as a RAM user, you must obtain the required permissions. For more information, see Authorize a RAM user.

  • The source stream quota is the maximum number of streams that can be concurrently ingested or pulled. The transcoding stream quota is the maximum number of streams that can be concurrently transcoded. If you expect your business to exceed either quota, submit an application with details such as use cases, estimated future requirements, and the desired effective date.

  • If the ratio of the inbound bandwidth for stream ingest to the outbound bandwidth for streaming exceeds 1:50, your account manager notifies you of the applicable charges. If you do not receive a notification, no fees are charged.

  • When you apply for a higher transcoding stream quota, ensure that you have configured transcoding templates in the ApsaraVideo Live console. You can also include transcoding details such as resolution and quality in your application.

  • If the quota that you request exceeds the upper limit that is displayed in the Quota Center console, contact your account manager or request Alibaba Cloud support.
