This topic describes the billing methods for Mobi, including subscription plans and pay-as-you-go options.
Selling model
Mobi supports a hybrid billing model that combines subscription (upfront) and pay-as-you-go methods.
Different Mobi plans vary in features and include a specific resource quota. These resources include the built-in database, built-in file storage, built-in CDN, integrated resource access calls, and the duration of asynchronous integration stream executions. If your resource usage exceeds the plan's quota, the excess usage is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
The Trial Edition does not support pay-as-you-go billing for resources.

The resource quotas in the table are monthly usage thresholds.
Features not mentioned in the table are supported by all plans by default.
You can integrate and use your own cloud resources. These are not considered built-in resources managed by the platform.
Outbound Internet traffic is billed separately by Alibaba Cloud Data Transfer (CDT) on a pay-as-you-go basis. This is traffic that flows from the Mobi platform to the Internet. Two common scenarios include the following:
When a client sends a request to the platform server, the response traffic is recorded as outbound Internet traffic.
Request traffic generated by the platform when accessing an integrated external resource is recorded as outbound Internet traffic.
Domain name verification file: When integrating a domain name on platforms such as WeChat and Alipay, you must configure a verification file. For Standard Edition and higher plans, contact us for technical support.
Integrated resource access calls include calls to integrated resources and integrated streams.
QPS (Queries Per Second) is the number of requests processed per second. The Mobi platform imposes a QPS limit on all applications in the runtime environment based on your subscription plan. This limit applies to all server-side access requests from all applications in your Mobi space. If the limit is exceeded, an error message is returned when the application is accessed.
The Professional Edition supports private runtime deployment. A fee of CNY 10,000 is charged for each independent environment deployed.
Package operations
1. Plan reminder
If you receive a plan reminder when you open Mobi, you can view the detailed plan specifications and select a plan. Click "Purchase Now" in the lower-right corner to purchase a plan, or click "Use Trial Edition" in the lower-left corner. The Trial Edition is currently free for a limited time. You can upgrade to a different plan at any time.
2. View current plan status
In the console, hover over your profile picture to view your current plan. You can also view detailed plan information.
3. Unlock applications
If you created applications before starting a trial or purchasing a plan, those applications are locked by default. Locked applications are in "read-only preview" mode.
After you unlock them, you can resume developing your applications.
4. Plan expiration
If you do not renew your plan after it expires, Mobi automatically unpublishes your applications in the development and production environments. You can renew your current plan to republish your applications. If you do not renew, Mobi will release your plan after one day. After the plan is released, the built-in database is revoked, but the data is retained for 7 days. During this 7-day period, you can manually recover the data. An automated recovery feature will be available in a future release. After your plan is released, you can subscribe to a new plan of a different type.
To prevent service interruptions for your production applications, monitor your plan's status and renew it on time.
View plan usage
You can view the usage of all plan resources for the current billing cycle on the Plan Usage page under Space Settings.
Pay-as-you-go billing
Resource usage that exceeds your plan's quota is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. The following items are billable:
Billable resource |
Price |
Built-in database |
CNY 3 / GB*month |
Built-in file storage |
CNY 3 / GB*month |
Built-in CDN |
CNY 0.3 / GB |
Integrated resource access |
CNY 1 / 10,000 calls |
Pay-as-you-go bills for Mobi are generated hourly. You can view these bills in Alibaba Cloud Billing Details.
The following is a detailed example:
You subscribe to the Team Edition plan. The billing cycle is from 2025-05-06 to 2025-06-07. The plan includes a monthly resource quota of: 5 GB of built-in database storage, 5 GB of built-in file storage, 5 GB of CDN traffic, and 100,000 integrated resource access calls.
Example 1: As of 10:00 on May 26, you have used 4.9 GB of CDN traffic.
From 10:00 to 11:00 on May 26, you use an additional 0.8 GB of CDN traffic. The pay-as-you-go fee is (0.8 + 4.9 - 5.0) × CNY 0.3 = CNY 0.21.
From 11:00 to 12:00 on May 26, you use no CDN traffic. No pay-as-you-go bill is generated.
From 12:00 to 13:00 on May 26, you use 4 GB of CDN traffic. The pay-as-you-go fee is 4 × CNY 0.3 = CNY 1.20.
Example 2: As of 10:00 on May 26, you have made 10,000 integrated resource access calls.
From 10:00 to 11:00 on May 26, you make 10,000 integrated resource access calls. This does not exceed the monthly quota, so no bill is generated.
From 11:00 to 12:00 on May 26, there were 82,000 invocations of integrated resources, generating a pay-as-you-go bill of (2 + 8.2 - 10) × 1 = CNY 0.2.
Example 3: As of 10:00 on May 26, your total built-in file storage usage is 4 GB.
From 10:00 to 11:00 on May 26, you upload a 1.5 GB file (total storage is 5.5 GB). The pay-as-you-go fee is (5.5 - 5.0) × CNY 3 / 30 / 24 = CNY 0.002083.
From 11:00 to 12:00 on May 26, you do not upload any files (total storage still exceeds the quota). The pay-as-you-go fee is (5.5 - 5.0) × CNY 3 / 30 / 24 = CNY 0.002083.
From 12:00 to 13:00 on May 26, you delete a file, and the total file storage becomes 4.9 GB. No pay-as-you-go bill is generated.
Example 4: As of 10:00 on May 26, your total database storage usage is 6.7 GB.
From 10:00 to 11:00 on May 26, you do not insert or delete data (total storage still exceeds the quota). The pay-as-you-go fee is (6.7 - 5.0) × CNY 3 / 30 / 24 = CNY 0.007083.
From 11:00 to 12:00 on May 26, you delete a table, and the average database storage for the hour drops to 4.8 GB. No pay-as-you-go bill is generated.
Outbound Internet traffic billing
Cloud Data Transfer (CDT) is an Alibaba Cloud service for unified network bandwidth billing. CDT uses a tiered pricing model for Internet traffic, where the unit price decreases as usage increases. Your total cost is the sum of the charges for each pricing tier. The following table lists the traffic tiers and billing methods for the Chinese mainland. For more information about CDT billing, see Internet traffic.
Traffic tier |
The Chinese mainland |
First 20 GB free quota |
20 GB/month |
(0–10 TB] |
CNY 0.80/GB |
(10–50 TB] |
CNY 0.75/GB |
(50–150 TB] |
CNY 0.70/GB |
Over 150 TB |
CNY 0.65/GB |
CDT aggregates and bills Internet traffic and cross-region traffic for multiple products. Mobi pushes traffic data to CDT every hour.
The following is a detailed example:
You subscribe to the Team Edition plan. The billing cycle is from 2025-05-06 to 2025-06-07.
Example 1: You use a cumulative 1 GB of outbound Internet traffic through Mobi from May 6 to May 31. You then use a cumulative 2 GB of outbound Internet traffic through Mobi from 00:00 on June 1 to 23:59:59 on June 6.
For May, your CDT bill will show 1 GB of Internet traffic from Mobi.
For June, your CDT bill will show 2 GB of Internet traffic from Mobi.
For more information about how to view your Internet traffic usage and bills, see Query bills and usage.
If you have an overdue payment for CDT, a prompt appears in the Mobi console. To avoid service interruptions, settle the payment as soon as possible. For more information about overdue payments for CDT, see Overdue payments.
