Trial version
Can I apply for a trial only once?
Each main account and RAM user can apply for the trial version only once.
Can RAM users be added during a trial?
Yes, this is supported for the Advanced and Pro editions. For more information, see Add an Alibaba Cloud RAM user to an organization.
Can I extend my trial?
The trial version cannot be extended after it expires.
Will my data be retained if I purchase after a trial?
All created reports are retained. However, features specific to the trial version, such as spreadsheets, will not be available in the Advanced edition. For a detailed comparison of features, see the Quick BI billing methods documentation.
Will AIPro data be retained if I switch to another edition?
Data created in the AIPro edition is retained for only 7 days. Data in your Quick BI workspace is retained based on the features supported by the edition you purchase.
Will my data be lost if I downgrade after a trial?
Data for features also available in the Basic edition will be retained.
Renewals
Renewing a RAM user's access?
The main account must purchase or renew the subscription and then add the RAM user back to the organization. The RAM user's access will be restored, and their previous data will be retained.
Data retention after trial without renewal?
If you do not renew your subscription promptly, your product resources are retained for 7 days. If the subscription is not renewed within this 7-day period, all resources, including your created assets, will be released, and your data will be permanently deleted.
Can I change the user count after renewal?
Renewals only extend the subscription period. You cannot change the number of users during the renewal process.
Upgrades and downgrades
How long for an upgrade to take effect?
A paid upgrade from the Advanced edition to the Pro edition takes effect immediately.
What happens to my data on downgrade?
The data in your workspace will be retained.
How can I reduce the number of users?
You cannot currently reduce the number of purchased users.
Cancellation and repurchase
How do I cancel value-added features?
You can cancel these features by submitting a ticket. After the cancellation is complete, you can repurchase them as needed.
Can I access my data after cancellation?
When you cancel your subscription, the data in your original Quick BI instance is retained.
If the number of users in your new subscription is less than in your previous one, users are retained based on the following priority: organization owner > organization administrator > users added earliest. Any users exceeding the new limit will be disabled, and their embedded reports will also become invalid. Therefore, to avoid service disruptions, transfer ownership of critical resources and remove unneeded users before changing your subscription.
Do report URLs change after repurchase?
No, the URLs will not change, and your data will be retained.
Purchase and activation
Permissions for main accounts and RAM users:
Quick BI account permissions are managed by the Alibaba Cloud account system. Quick BI supports Resource Access Management (RAM).
Typically, only a main account can place orders, renew subscriptions, or upgrade. If a RAM user needs purchasing permissions, the main account must grant them the AliyunQuickBIFullAccess permission policy.
Resolving the "already in an organization" error?
The user must be removed from their previous organization, or make the purchase with a new main account.
Why can't I access the console after purchase?
An organization administrator must add an Alibaba Cloud user to a Quick BI organization before the user can access Quick BI directly.
Purchasing the Basic edition after a trial?
You must first cancel your current trial version and then purchase a new Basic edition subscription. A main account can have only one instance ID per region.
Who can use the single-user Basic edition?
Yes. Only the account that makes the purchase can use the service. If a main account subscribes, a RAM user cannot separately purchase the Basic edition.
What is the Credit and token relationship?
Quick BI uses Credits as its unified billing unit instead of showing the raw number of tokens. When you run a task, the Credit consumption is determined by both the task complexity (such as feature type, Agent interaction, and task duration) and the model used (such as model type, input tokens, and output tokens). Therefore, Credit consumption is an indirect measure of resource usage.
Organization and account management
Resolving the "user in another organization" error?
This error means the user is already a member of a different Quick BI organization. The user must either leave their current organization or use a RAM user to join the new one.
Editions and entitlements
What is a "Viewer" in the Pro edition?
A Viewer is a user role with permission to access reports and portals only. Viewers cannot be added as members of a workspace and can only view reports to which they have been granted access.
Acceleration engine quota in the Advanced edition?
Yes. The Quick BI Advanced edition for one user (also known as the Super Analyst edition) can only be purchased by an Alibaba Cloud main account; RAM users or roles cannot purchase it. This edition includes Q-Assistant Agent and Q-Assistant creation capabilities by default. However, it does not support purchasing additional spreadsheets, data visualization screens, or embedded reports, nor does it support expanding the acceleration engine capacity.
Is data retained on repurchase after expiration?
Your data is retained for 7 days.
