After you develop a custom template, you must publish it to make it available to your target audience in the Template Marketplace or your organization. This topic describes the publication process.
Prerequisites
You have created a custom template. For more information, see Create a custom template.
Procedure
In the
custom templatelist on the Open Platform, find the template that you want to publish. In the Actions column, selectrequest to publishfrom the
dropdown menu.In the
Publishing Scopedialog box, configure the template's visibility.visibility: Determines who can view and use the template. You can selectInternal,Template Marketplace, orSpecified Tenants.TheInternaloption is available by default. To enable theTemplate MarketplaceandSpecified Tenantsoptions, contact Quick BI support.Case Center (Public Access): In addition to accessing the Template Marketplace while logged in to Quick BI, users can also access a public version of the marketplace. For more information, see Public Template Marketplace. Specify whether to display this template in the public version of the Template Marketplace.
Configuration steps vary depending on the selected visibility.
Visibility
Description
Internal
Use case: Select this option if the template is for internal use only. As an internal asset, the template cannot be published to the Case Center by default.
Instructions: Click
OKto publish the template. No review is required. Members of your organization can then find and use the template on theInternal Templatestab of the Template Marketplace.
Template Marketplace
(Requires activation by Quick BI)
Use case: Select this option to make the template available to all Quick BI users. As a public asset, you must choose whether to publish it to the Case Center for desktop and mobile.
Instructions: Click
OK. Read the Template Upload Agreement, confirm that you agree to the terms, and clickOKto submit the template for review. The template becomes non-editable. Contact Quick BI support to initiate the review. After approval, the template will be available on the relevant category tabs in the Template Marketplace.
Specified Tenants
(Requires activation by Quick BI)
Use case: Select this option to make the template available only to specific users. In the
tenant IDinput box, enter the IDs of the target tenants. Separate multiple tenant IDs with commas. You must also choose whether to publish the template to the Case Center for desktop and mobile.Instructions: Click
OK. In the dialog box that appears, read theTemplate Upload Agreement. Confirm that you agree to the terms and clickOKto submit the template for review.The template becomes non-editable. Contact Quick BI support to initiate the review. After approval, the specified tenants can find and use the template on the relevant category tabs in the Template Marketplace.
Publication workflow
If you set the visibility to Template Marketplace or Specified Tenants, the template enters the In Review status after you submit it. A template passes through several statuses: Pending Publication, In Review, Published, Rejected, and Unpublished. You can track the current status in the status column of the custom template list. The following table describes each status and the corresponding actions.

The request to publish the template is approved. The template is now available based on the configured visibility. |
You cannot edit a published template. To modify its content, you must first unpublish it.

The template was rejected because it did not meet publication standards. It now requires modifications. |

Unpublished |
The template has been unpublished from the Template Marketplace. |

Next steps
After the template passes the review process, it becomes available within its configured scope. The target audience can then view and apply the template from the corresponding tab in the Template Marketplace. For more information, see View and apply a template.
