On the Style tab of the dataset table editing page, you can set the display configuration and total/subtotal configuration. This topic describes how to configure these styles.
Display configuration
Customize the visual appearance of the dataset table.
Custom block name
You can specify a custom name for a block.

This makes the block easier to identify when configuring filters, global parameters, or navigation links.
Merge similar cells
Select this option to merge adjacent cells that have the same value. Deselect it to unmerge them.
Do not display column header
Show or hide the column header.
Diagonal header
A diagonal header is often used to create traditional, complex report layouts. You can configure a two-part diagonal cell or a three-part diagonal cell.
You can configure a diagonal header on the Style tab.

You can also configure a diagonal header from the toolbar.
NoteWhen configuring a diagonal header from the toolbar, use a comma (,) to create line breaks. For example, the input for the header in the preceding figure is "Region,Product Type,Product Subcategory".
Auto-fit column width
Enable this option to automatically adjust column widths to fit their content.

Using this feature with a large number of columns may affect performance.
Block style
In the block style section, you can apply styles to specific areas of your table. These styles are dynamically linked to the data and persist through changes to fields or filters.
Click the
icon to enable the block style feature. This lets you apply different styles to various parts of the table and configure the font style and cell style for areas such as the column header, row header, data area, grand total, and subtotal.Parameter

Font style
Font, font size, and color
Select a font type, size, and color for the current block.

Font alignment
Choose the text alignment within the cells for the current block.

Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, and Underline
Set the text in the current block to bold, italic, strikethrough, or underline.

Cell style
Fill color
Set the fill color for cells in the current block.

Border
Set the border style for cells in the current block.

To apply a block's configured style to other blocks, click the
icon and select the target blocks from the drop-down list.
To clear all configured styles from a block, click the
icon.
Conditional formatting
Quick BI supports conditional formatting to enhance data analysis and make your reports more readable. This feature helps you handle various complex reporting scenarios.

Total/subtotal configuration
Use these settings to configure how totals and subtotals are calculated and displayed in your table.
Typically, these are configured for either rows or columns. For layouts that mix both, you can configure them simultaneously.
Display position
Set where row or column totals and subtotals appear.
For a row grand total/subtotal, available positions are Left and Right.
For a column grand total/subtotal, available positions are Bottom and Top.
Overall summary
Configure the overall summary for rows or columns.
The following example shows a column summary.
You can set a custom alias for the grand total.

You can set the calculation method for the grand total of a field. Options include automatic calculation or functions like SUM, AVG, MAX, and COUNT.

You can also set a different calculation method for each field.

Group summary
Configure subtotals by setting an alias, selecting a summary dimension, choosing a function, and adding subtotal fields.
FAQ
Why does my table not change after I enable auto-fit column width?
A: This happens if the columns in your table are already at their optimal width. In this case, enabling auto-fit column width produces no visible change.
