September 1, 2020	Dedicated proxies for ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instances.	The first dedicated proxy is no longer free. Every dedicated proxy you enable is now charged. May 29, 2020	Snapshot backups for RDS Basic Edition instances.	Free storage for snapshot backups ended. A free quota equal to 200% of the purchased storage capacity now applies. Usage beyond the free quota is charged. For details, see Billable items.
April 1, 2020	Snapshot backups for ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instances using standard SSDs or ESSDs. For details, see Back up an ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance.	Retention period extended to more than 7 days (previously capped at 7 days). Free quota added: equal to 200% of the purchased storage capacity. March 13, 2020	Read-only instances of ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server 2017.	Prices reduced by ~30% for pay-as-you-go instances in the dedicated instance family.
