This page explains how to stop charges for Tair (Redis OSS-compatible) instances and what refund options apply to each billing model.
Before you begin
You can only release or unsubscribe instances that are in the Running state.
Releasing or unsubscribing from an instance is irreversible. Before you proceed, create a backup and download it. For more information, see Backup and restoration solutions.
Release a pay-as-you-go instance
Pay-as-you-go instances are billed based on actual resource usage. No refunds are involved. To stop charges, release the instance. After you release the instance, no fees are charged.
For instructions, see Release pay-as-you-go instances.
Unsubscribe from subscription instances
For subscription instances, you must pay in advance based on the instance type and subscription duration. If you no longer need an instance, you can unsubscribe from it in the console. For more information, see Unsubscribe from a subscription instance.
Two refund methods are available:
Five-day unconditional refund: This applies to Tair (Enterprise Edition) cloud-native edition and Redis Open-Source Edition cloud-native edition instances that were purchased within the last five days.
Partial refund: Available for all other Tair or Redis instances.
For more information, see Refund rules and procedures.
Refund destination
For more information about refund destinations, see Refund destination.
Refunds apply only to the amount of an order paid for with cash or a stored value card. Payments made with vouchers or coupons are non-refundable.
