Purchase resource plans to prepay for Simple Log Service usage. During fee settlement, usage is deducted from your resource plans first.
Resource plans
SLS offers the following resource plans.
If you have both new and legacy resource plans (data transfer, index traffic, and storage plans), legacy plans are applied first.

New resource plan - Prepaid Plan 2.0 (Recommended)
The resource plan offsets the fees of all billable items in Simple Log Service. Larger specifications and longer subscription periods provide greater discounts. The system calculates daily SLS usage and deducts it from the resource plan quota. You receive the same quota each month. If the monthly quota is exhausted, excess usage is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.

New resource plans take priority over savings plans. If you have both, new resource plans are applied first.

Both pay-by-feature and pay-by-ingested-data billing modes are supported.

SLS offers specification-based discounts for new resource plans with a subscription period of one year or longer. The actual discount is displayed on the purchase page. Pay-as-you-go pricing remains unchanged. The Prepaid Plan 2.0 discount policy applies only to new resource plans purchased for one year or longer.

Alibaba Cloud charges the full subscription fee upfront when you purchase a new resource plan. For example, purchasing a one-year, 100 CU new resource plan incurs the full annual fee on the day of purchase.
The specification unit for a new resource plan is the Cost Unit (CU).

Resource plans support both pay-by-feature and pay-by-ingested-data billing modes.

CU consumption for each billable item equals its pay-as-you-go unit price. For example, read/write traffic on the public cloud costs CNY 0.18 per GB, so offsetting 1 GB consumes 0.18 CUs. See the following tables for details.

A data transfer plan offsets only the Read/Write Traffic billable item. The system calculates daily read/write traffic. Traffic within the plan capacity incurs no fees. Excess traffic is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
