Format

• template name: Must not exceed 20 characters.

• Message content must be a mix of media and cannot be text-only, video-only, image-only, or audio-only. The template size must be greater than 660 KB and can contain a maximum of 9 frames.

  Note

  • The total size of all images, audio, video, and text must be less than 1900 KB.

  • Supported formats: PNG, GIF, or JPG for images; MP4 for video (with H.264 encoding); and MP3 for audio.

• template content requirements: The content must include both text and a video or an image.

• To avoid confusion with the signature, do not use [] anywhere else in the message content. The content must not contain sensitive terms, including but not limited to those related to pornography, violence, or cash incentives.

• Messages must support an unsubscribe option. Add "Reply R to unsubscribe" at the end of the template.

• Supports Chinese characters, English letters, numbers, and symbols, but does not support Traditional Chinese characters, such as 體 and 壽.

• Do not use typos, non-standard character variants, obfuscating symbols, or uncommon phrases to bypass content review.

Variables

• You can add a text variable, such as ${name}.

  Note

  The value for each variable must be 1 to 20 characters long. A template can have at most three variables.

• Concatenated or adjacent variables are not supported.

  Note

  • Do not place variables adjacent to each other, such as in ${time}${place} or ${time}, ${place}. You must add descriptive text between them to clarify their purpose.

  • Correct example: A meeting on ${content} is scheduled for ${time} at ${place}. Please attend on time.

• Do not use variables to insert a link, an IP address, an official account or mini program, an app name, a QR code, a QQ or WeChat ID, or a mobile number.

Links

• All URLs must have a valid ICP filing and be publicly accessible for review. If a link contains a variable and cannot be opened directly (for example, aliyun.com/${code}), provide a complete, working example URL in the Application Notes field.

• Do not link to irrelevant or illegal content.

Content

• Images and videos in Digital SMS messages must not contain third-party logos, such as watermarks from video editing software like Aijianji, VUE, or Tencent Video.

• Sending messages related to the following industries is prohibited: real estate, pharmaceuticals, gaming, finance, social networking, education and training, multi-level marketing, and medical aesthetics.

• Messages containing specific contact information are prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, personal social media accounts (QQ, WeChat, Douyin), invitations to join groups, personal WeChat IDs, or personal mobile numbers.

• Sending marketing content to non-members or users who have not provided explicit consent is prohibited. This includes unsolicited messages such as registration invitations, membership offers, or general business promotions where a prior relationship cannot be confirmed.

• Images and videos in Digital SMS messages must not contain a QR code.

• Content that violates laws or regulations, or infringes on the rights of others, is prohibited.

• Sending messages related to the following topics is prohibited: pornography, gambling, drugs, politics, lotteries, sports betting, violence, threats, smuggling, poker games, adult products, selling personal information, contraband, debt collection, score guessing, crowdfunding, charitable donations, religion, superstition (such as fortune-telling), stocks, private equity, crude oil futures, cryptocurrency, forged seals, counterfeit goods, tobacco and alcohol, invoice services, business registration, document processing, annual inspections, bookkeeping, requests to join groups or add contacts, delivery confirmations, telecom carrier services, ghostwriting, click farming, task-based rewards, empty package logistics (brushing), digital collectibles, equipment rental, legal aid, mediation, trademark registration, studying abroad, immigration, loans, credit card limit increases, investment advice, prize promotions, flash sales, second-class e-commerce, Taobao commands, cosmetic surgery, medical aesthetics, fur products, cashback, funeral services, requests for reviews, point redemption, vocational training, surveys, home renovation, POS machines, in-home massage, part-time jobs, promotions for app downloads, games, dating services, financial products (including banking, insurance, and loans), exhibitions, recruitment, school admissions, data ranking, lead generation, SEO, agency services (such as for intellectual property or patents), real estate, registration invitations, bidding invitations, franchise opportunities, user acquisition, or user re-engagement.
