Unified account management

Why can't I transfer my account balance?

Balance transfers require two conditions:

  1. The transferring account must have the required permissions.

  2. Both accounts must belong to the same company, verified through Alibaba Cloud identity verification.

Why can't I transfer or revoke my account balance even though it's positive?

Transferable and revocable balances are calculated based on specific conditions and differ from your total cash balance.

To transfer a balance:

A balance is transferable only if:

  1. The funds must be topped up directly into the source account. Previously transferred-in funds cannot be transferred out again.

  2. The source account must not have any overdue payments.

The transferable amount is the lesser of: (Your Cash Balance - Transferred-in Balance) or Your Available Balance.

To revoke a balance:

A balance can be revoked only if:

  1. Only previously transferred-in funds can be revoked. If those funds were already spent, you cannot revoke your own topped-up funds to cover the shortfall.

  2. A prior transfer must exist from the revoking account to the destination account. You can only revoke funds from that transaction.

  3. The revocation must not cause the destination account to have an overdue payment.

The revocable amount is the minimum of: the destination account's Transferred-in Balance, the Remaining Revocable Amount between the two accounts, and the destination account's Available Balance.

Why doesn't my credit control limit take effect after I set it?

  • The credit control limit is inactive until the initial credit control contract is confirmed.

    For the first-time setup:

    1. After setting the limit, notify the account administrator.

    2. The administrator logs in to Expenses and Costs > Contracts.

    3. Confirm the credit control contract. The limit takes effect immediately.

An SMS notification is sent to your account's mobile number once the limit is active.

    For subsequent changes:

After initial confirmation, future limit adjustments take effect automatically with an SMS notification.

Why am I unable to set a credit control limit?

Self-service transfer and credit control may be disabled if:

  • Your account is associated with an ecosystem partner, and the relationship is set to "pay on behalf."

  • Your account has significant accounts receivable and a history of long-overdue payments.

Which accounts are eligible for benefit and asset sharing?

Both the owner and recipient accounts must belong to the same company, validated through Alibaba Cloud identity verification.

When does sharing take effect after it is configured for an account?

  • The effective time depends on the sharing method:

    • Sharing with specific accounts: Takes effect immediately after you save.

    • Sharing with an organization: Changes take effect in about one minute.

Important: The shared benefit applies only to usage after the sharing relationship becomes active. Due to billing delays, bills for pre-sharing usage generated later are not eligible for the shared benefit.

After I set an automatic sharing rule, when is a newly purchased asset shared?

A newly purchased asset is automatically shared per the rule approximately 1 minute after provisioning.

Coupon credit pool

How can a coupon be used after the designated account's payment relationship with the payer account is terminated?

  • After termination, the shared coupon remains valid until expiry but no longer applies to that account's consumption. You can manually revoke its remaining value to prevent waste.

  • If the payment relationship is re-established, the account can resume using the coupon for deductions.

Can an allocated coupon be revoked after the enterprise account relationship is terminated?

Yes. The previous administrator can still revoke coupon credit allocated to a member account after the relationship is terminated.

Can customers specify a coupon's validity period when they generate it?

No. Coupon scope — applicable products, bill types, and validity period — can only be specified by the CBM when requesting a credit pool. To use different scopes, request separate credit pools. Customers can only set the applicable accounts, number of coupons, and face value per coupon.

Why is there no data in the coupon credit pool portal?

Only a CBM can request a coupon credit pool. When making the request, the CBM must select "Specify Enterprise Management Account" as the distribution target.
