This topic describes how to configure and use a hardware terminal, using a WUYING AIO 23.8 V6.4.0 as an example.
Configure the hardware terminal
Configuration entry points and the user interface (UI) may vary based on the device version. The UI on your device takes precedence.
For the best experience with WUYING AIO 23.8, we recommend updating the hardware terminal to the latest version.
You can configure the hardware terminal from the System Settings panel on your WUYING AIO 23.8. The entry point for system settings differs depending on whether you are logged on to the hardware terminal. Follow the appropriate steps below:
Before you log on to the terminal: Click the
icon in the lower-left corner and then click Settings to open the System Settings panel. After you log on to the terminal: Click the
icon in the lower-left corner, click the
icon in the upper-right corner of the pop-up page, and then click Settings to open the System Settings panel.
In the System Settings panel, you can configure the following items:
Parameter | Description |
Configure network | Click Network. You can configure the wireless LAN and wired network. Wireless LAN: On the Wireless LAN tab, you can connect to a specific Wi-Fi network, set a preferred network, and configure the wireless network adapter. To enable the wired network, make sure an Ethernet cable or a wired network adapter is connected. |

|
Update the system or perform a factory reset | Click About WUYING and go to the System Update tab to configure the following settings: System update: Click Check for Updates. If no new version is found, a message indicates that the system is up to date. If a new version is detected, click Download New Version. After the download is successful, click Download Successful. Restart Now to restart the device and complete the update. Note If an administrator enables auto-update for your hardware terminal in the Elastic Desktop Service console, the terminal automatically installs received update packages. This is a mandatory update, and you cannot disable auto-update on the hardware terminal. Factory reset: A factory reset clears user settings and data saved on the hardware terminal, including fingerprints, volume settings, and network configurations. However, this operation does not clear the configurations and data in your cloud computers, cloud apps, and cloud files, nor does it roll back the version. For example, if you update to the latest version, you cannot roll back to a previous version by performing a factory reset. |
Account and security settings | Important You must log on to the hardware terminal to configure account and security settings.
