This topic describes how to log on to a Wuying hardware terminal, using the Wuying All-in-one 23.8 V6.3.0 as an example.
Simplified version
The Alibaba Cloud Workspace client supports multiple sign-in methods and advanced features like single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA). This guide describes the standard username-and-password method, which is suitable for most users. If this guide does not apply to you, see the Detailed guide.
Prerequisites
Your administrator has assigned cloud resources to you. You can find your sign-in credentials, including your organization ID or office network ID, username, and password, in the email or phone number specified by your administrator.
You have obtained a Wuying All-in-one 23.8. For more information, see Obtain and install the Wuying All-in-one 23.8 US01.
Procedure
This topic shows how to log on using the Wuying All-in-one 23.8 (V6.3.0).
Connect the necessary external devices, such as a keyboard and mouse, and connect to a network. Then, turn on the Wuying All-in-one 23.8.
At the top of the logon page, select Enterprise Edition, enter the workspace ID or organization ID from your logon credentials, and then click the
icon.In the Username and Password text boxes, enter your username and password, and then click the logon icon.
NoteFor your first logon, enter the initial password from your logon credentials and follow the prompts to set a new password. Use this new password for all future logons. The initial password is valid for three days. If it expires, click forgot password to reset it.
After you log on, the Wuying hardware terminal desktop displays the cloud resources, such as cloud computers, that your administrator assigned to you.
On the cloud resource list page of the hardware terminal desktop, click the connect icon on a cloud computer card to start using the cloud computer.
Detailed version
This guide provides detailed information about related concepts, various sign-in methods, and advanced features. If you use the standard username-and-password sign-in method and do not need advanced features, see the Quick guide.
Background information
Wuying product users fall into the following roles:
End user: A person who uses Wuying cloud services through a Wuying terminal. For example, a designer at a design firm.
Administrator: An operations and maintenance (O&M) staff member who manages resources (purchasing, renewing, creating, assigning), policies (creating, binding), O&M and monitoring, and end users. For example, the IT administrator of the designer's company.
Prerequisites
An administrator has created an end user account for you and assigned a Wuying cloud computer to you. If you are an administrator, you must first purchase and assign a cloud computer as described in the following topics:
You must have the credentials to log on to the Wuying hardware terminal. After an administrator purchases and assigns a Wuying cloud computer, you receive credentials that typically include a workspace ID or an organization ID, a username, and a password. How you receive these credentials depends on the end user account type and activation type that your administrator created:
NoteFor more information about the types of end user accounts and their differences, see Workspace overview.
Convenience account
Administrator-activated: The administrator configures the logon credentials and password reset notifications for the end user account in the cloud computer console and provides them to the end user offline.
User-activated: The system sends the logon credentials and password reset notifications for the end user account to the end user's email address or mobile phone number.
Enterprise AD account
The administrator provides the credentials to the end user offline.
Procedure
This topic shows how to log on using the Wuying All-in-one 23.8 (V6.3.0).
Connect the necessary external devices, such as a keyboard and mouse, and connect to a network. Then, turn on the Wuying All-in-one 23.8.
On the logon page, click network connection mode. Select Internet or enterprise private network based on the network connection mode specified in your logon credentials. Then, at the top of the page, select Enterprise Edition.
Select a logon method.
Password logon
When you go to the logon page, the password logon method is selected by default. If it is not, click password logon at the bottom of the page.
Enter the workspace ID or organization ID from your logon credentials, and then click the
icon.NoteIf you log on by using an organization ID, you can access all Wuying cloud resources under your end user account, regardless of which workspace they belong to.
If you log on by using a workspace ID, you can only access the Wuying cloud resources that belong to that specific workspace under your end user account. For more information about the difference, see Modify an organization ID.
Your next step depends on whether the administrator has enabled single sign-on (SSO) for the workspace or organization:
If SSO is not enabled, enter the username from your logon credentials and your custom password, and then click the
icon. To stay logged on for three days, select automatic logon.NoteFor your first logon, enter the initial password from your logon credentials and follow the prompts to set a new password. Use this new password for all future logons.
The initial password is valid for three days. If your password expires or you forget it, you can click forgot password and follow the prompts to reset it.
ImportantEnter your password carefully. Entering an incorrect password 10 consecutive times locks your account for 20 minutes, during which you cannot make further logon attempts.
If SSO is enabled, enter your SSO username and password as prompted on the page, and then click the
icon.
SMS logon
NoteIf your administrator has enabled the SMS logon feature, you can also log on to the hardware terminal by using the mobile phone number bound to your account and the verification code sent to that number. For information about how an administrator can enable the SMS logon feature, see Create a convenience account.
Click SMS logon at the bottom of the page, enter your mobile phone number, and click Send Verification Code. Then, enter the verification code you receive on your phone and click the logon icon. To stay logged on for three days, you can select automatic logon.
If the administrator has enabled multi-factor authentication (MFA), enter the security code generated by your bound virtual MFA device.
(Conditional) If the administrator has enabled trusted device authentication, your administrator must first register your hardware terminal in the management console and bind it to your user account before you can log on. For more information, see Manage Wuying Hardware Terminals.
NoteAfter trusted device authentication is enabled, end users can log on to the cloud computers in the workspace only from a bound hardware terminal.
(Conditional) If the administrator has enabled client logon verification, you must enter a verification code from your email to log on from a new device.
NoteClient logon verification applies only when the network connection mode is Internet. It does not apply to the enterprise private network connection mode.
After you log on, your Wuying cloud services appear as cards or icons. Click an icon to access the corresponding service.
NoteIf your account has only one cloud computer and its status is running, the hardware terminal automatically connects to the cloud computer after you log on.
If your Wuying cloud computer is stopped, start it. You can connect to the cloud computer only after its status changes to running. The status appears in the upper-left corner of the cloud computer card.
