After your administrator enables Wuying Drive (formerly Wuying Cloud Drive), they can grant you access to a personal space or a team space. Depending on the drive visibility settings configured by your administrator, you can open the Wuying Drive client from the resource list in the Wuying client or from within a cloud computer. In the client, you can manage files by performing actions such as uploading, downloading, searching, adding to favorites, sharing files, and sharing folders.
-
The examples in this topic are based on the Wuying Drive client V1.4.0. If your experience differs from the descriptions, you may be using an older version. We recommend that you upgrade to the latest version.
-
The procedures for managing team spaces and personal spaces are similar. This topic uses a personal space as an example. The actual user interface (UI) may vary.
Drive space types
Wuying Drive provides the following types of storage space:
-
personal space: Used to store your private files. Other users cannot view the content in your personal space without your authorization. You can create or upload files to your personal space, organize them into folders, and perform actions such as downloading, copying, moving, and sharing.
-
team space: Used for storing and sharing files within a team and is accessible to all authorized users. If an administrator grants you team administrator permissions, you can manage access to the team space. This includes setting permissions and their effective duration for specific users or the entire team on the space or individual folders.
The storage capacity for personal spaces and team spaces is set by your administrator. If you run out of space, you can free up storage by deleting files or contact your administrator to increase the storage limit. For details, see Modify the storage limit of a personal space and Modify the storage limit of a team space.
Access and permissions
Drive access points
You can access Wuying Drive from the following locations:
-
Resource list of the Wuying client
The assigned drive appears on the Wuying client resource list only if your administrator sets the Drive Entry Point Outside Cloud Computers permission to Allow.
In the resource list of the Wuying Enterprise client, the drive is displayed as a card that shows the drive name and its region, such as China (Shanghai). The card provides a Connect button and a Details link. Click Connect to access the drive.
-
Cloud computer desktop shortcut
After connecting to a cloud computer, you can use the desktop shortcut to open the Wuying Drive client if you have access to a drive in the same region.
-
Mounted drive on a cloud computer
Wuying Drive is automatically mounted to the cloud computers that are assigned to you in the same region and is mapped as Wuying Drive (P:). This drive contains the personal space and Received Shares folders. Actions you perform on files and folders in Wuying Drive (P:) are also reflected in the drive client. For example, if you rename a file in Wuying Drive (P:), the file is also renamed in the drive client.
Multi-region drive visibility
If your administrator has granted you access to drives in multiple regions, their visibility depends on your logon method and viewing location, as described in the following table:
|
Drive visibility |
Log on by using an enterprise ID |
Log on by using a workspace ID |
|
In the Wuying client |
You can access drives in all regions. |
You can access only the drive in the same region as the workspace. |

You can access only the drive in the same region as the workspace. |
-
For more information about the differences between logon methods, see Configure logon methods.
-
Only convenience accounts can access multiple authorized drives simultaneously from the Wuying client. This feature is not supported for AD accounts.
-
Only convenience accounts in the China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Beijing), and China (Shenzhen) regions can access Wuying Drive across different regions from a cloud computer or cloud application. If you log on by using a workspace ID and also require cross-region access from a cloud computer or cloud application, contact your administrator to enable the Cross-region Access to Drive feature in the Elastic Desktop Service Enterprise Edition console. For details, see Purchase and manage Wuying Drive.
File transfer permissions
File transfers between a cloud computer and Wuying Drive are unrestricted. You can always upload and download files between them.
File transfers between your local device and Wuying Drive are controlled by policies set by your administrator.
