Metrics library

The metrics library provides statistics related to teams, work hours, projects, iterations, requirements, defects, and code, helping you better manage and analyze project progress.

The metrics library page organizes 61 metric cards into category tabs. Each card displays a thumbnail of a metric chart, such as project rankings by estimated work hours, iteration work hour rankings, burndown charts, and trends in new defects. To view details for a metric, click view all in the upper-right corner of its card.

Using the metrics library

When creating a custom report, you can select the metric cards you need to build your report.

In the Select Metric Cards dialog box, you can filter metric cards by using the category tabs at the top: All Metric Cards, Team, Work Hours, Project, Iteration, Requirement, and Defect. Click a card's thumbnail to select or deselect it. The bottom of the dialog box displays a count of selected cards, such as Selected 10/43. After you make your selections, click Confirm.

Request a metric

If the available metrics do not meet your needs, you can request a new one. Your request will be reviewed by our team. On the Metrics Library page, click Request a Metric in the upper-right corner. In the dialog box that appears, enter a metric name and detailed description, then click OK to submit your request.
