This topic describes the prerequisites, background information, limits, and end-to-end procedure for the sample project.

Prerequisites

The public cloud version of the BizWorks service is activated.

Background information

In the retail industry, an increasing number of companies are adopting online and offline omnichannel models. However, data fragmentation and discrepancies across multiple channels present significant business challenges. The Business Mid-end has become a common solution to these problems. An omnichannel Business Mid-end typically consists of several shared capability centers, such as a User Center, Customer Center, Product Hub, Transaction Center, Payment Center, Inventory Center, and Promotion Hub.

The BizWorks team has selected several models and capabilities from the Product Hub and User Center to create this sample project. This project helps you quickly understand how to use BizWorks for model design, application development, capability listing, and operations.

Overview of the end-to-end procedure

The main workflow of BizWorks consists of five steps.

1. Activate the sample project	As an enterprise administrator, you will learn how to activate the sample project and explore its preconfigured resources.	Step 1: Activate the sample project
2. Design models	As a business or technical architect, you will use the BizWorks model design platform to perform Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and add a new bounded context based on the project's business scenario.	Example: Model design Experiment: Create a new model
3. Develop and deploy center applications	As a developer, you will learn how to develop and deploy applications based on the designed models. This process includes managing application versions, generating and developing scaffolds, and deploying applications. 4. Publish applications and list capabilities	As the team owner, you confirm all information and finalize the version after the application is developed and tested. As an O&M engineer, you deploy the application to the production environment. As an operations team member, you will learn how to list the capabilities of the new version on the operations platform. 5. Build lightweight applications based on shared capabilities	As a developer on the Business Mid-end team, you will learn how to build and deploy frontend business applications using existing backend services. 6. Delete the sample project	If you encounter issues with the sample project or want to use new features after activation, you can delete the existing project and then reactivate it.	Step 6: Delete the sample project
